1st Time Grow. 2 x 400w Hps & Mh Lights.. 5.9ft x 5.9ft x 6.5ft.

"Hi everyone i'm pretty new to this.. been using the internet and word of mouth to learn a little bit and thought i would get my hands dirty and give it a shot myself, love smokin the stuff and am sick of buying it. Not doing it for monetary purposes, partially doing it for a hobby and partially cause i like the idea of self sustinance" ~ Daniel.

Started with just 1 seed 3 weeks ago, so it has been a bit of overkill. Luckily he/she is goin strong. Finally got some seeds from some pretty good buds about 4 days ago (100+) germin 40 of them at the moment.. see how they go and plant them in the next couple of days.

The original plant is in soil, but ive got rockwool and perlite now for the new seedlings.. still yet to set up all the pumps and tubing.. i think for now ill just hand water until i see how things go along.

Average Temp - 27o celcius
No idea of the humidity but i think its ok.. only have to water every 2 days, even then it could probably go longer, but i assume that with the perlite and rockwool i will have to water daily.

Will have to put some pics up, will do that on monday i guess when im off work.

~2 Days in the room~
Its been freezing here so the seeds took forever to germinate only got them in 2 and a half days ago. Got told by a few ppl that i should not start the seedlings on full nutrients and full light, but i just thought i would go for it and see what happens. ive still got 100+ seeds so i can just start over. Anyway all went well and just under half shot up over night. the ones that have shot up had about a quarter inch root.. The ones that havent were half that, but on closer inspection they are on there way. As its been pretty cold here lately the temps are pretty easy to take care of, dont even need to run the exhaust fan, just have a pedestal fan going when the lights are on and the room sits on 24c-28c .. I have the lights are off during the hottest part of the day so that helps. (12pm-4pm)
Feeding them "Canna Veg" its 2 bottles of A & B and they get 2ml of each per litre. The ph is 5.8. i also put some "420 benificial bacteria" in there not using anything fancy for now. I'm making 20ltres at a time and keeping it in a sterilized bucket with an air stone at the bottom (air stone goes for 1hr every other hr). still think ill just water by hand until i know how much they need and i have to get some stuff from the warehouse at work if im going to set up the pumps.

I've never seen a bed of perlite before. I may be wrong but you may wanna double check that. You may wanna replace it with a soil medium or coco. Anyone...?

transferred the 6 best into seperate vessels, got the pump goin but only to those 6 so far, i dont think work will understand if i call in sick cause i gotta work on my hydro setup. posting some more pics in the next few days.... On another subject i finally got my license so yay to me.
