Whats up everyone. I just built my first grow closet and wanted to start a grow journal. I started off by acquiring some nice white widow seeds. I then put them in a coffee pot and left them outside. After a few weeks they grew to about a couple inches and looked healthy. I bought some pots and feed and transplanted them. One died during transplanting and now im down to 4 plants. I started by leaving them in my window but they werent catching enough light. So i forked out some cash and built a grow closet out of a large dresser i had. I built a shelf and have two sections. 3 plants in small pots up top and 1 plant in a big pot on the bottom. I bought 2 120 watt plant lights from home depot. On the box they are called AGRO LITE. Has anyone ever heard of these??? I cant seem to find anything on them. They look like flood lights with a blue tint on them. These things look great .. really bright. The only thing is they emit some heat. I dont know if these work well or not. I will Post pictures soon.

its been more than a week and i have made some changes. I took one plant out of the big pot and put it in a smaller pot. I now have 4 plants on one shelf. I also changed lights. These weird homedepot lights suck monkey balls. They put out way to much heat and just sucked. So i went out and bought 4 Phillips Blue spectrum 23 watt CFL. So each plant has one 23 watt cfl light above it. They seem to like it alot. They have definately grown a bit more since then. Anyway.... i will def post some pictures soon.

The bottom two leaves have shrivled up and died from when they were int he window. Not enough light im guessing. BUT. The rest of the plant looks healthy. Should i just snip these off?? if so will it effect the plant?

yes you should although snipping shouldn't be necessary. Gentle downward pressure on the leaf stem should do the job. In nature the wind and rain would knock them off. Hello wind. VV

Well Im getting bumbed out because i dunno if this whole thing will work. I would like to grow these things using CFL's. But i think its wayyy more confusing that i thought it would be. I cant afford hps lights of mh lights and i dont even know if its possible to use CFL's throughout the whole life of the plant. These plants look happy and i dont want to kill them. Is there any nutrients i can use that will boost this growing??? Do i have to transplant into another soil or can i just buy a liquid nutrient that i pour in the soil??? Can i flower with my CFL lights???? Someone help please. Any comments will be appreciated.

there are several cfl journals posted in this forum. I know it can seem a little overwelming at times. Remember, its just a weed. Not easy to kill. the hard part is getting maximum yeild. VV
