1st time grower need some help.

Your going to need to do some more research. You need a lot more stuff like an exhaust fan, carbon filter (for the smell), humidity monitor, reflector. Also you can buy a 4 pack of 23W bulbs for $3 more: https://www.amazon.com/Philips-433557-100-watt-Twister-4-Pack/dp/B00M6SR1JM/ref=sr_ph_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1479372802&sr=sr-1&keywords=6500k+cfl

Here is some pics of my veg tent (also remember you want some 2700k lights at flower)

I am using CFLs for the first 2-3 weeks of seedling phase and switching them out to LEDs later on close to veg. You might want to use this as a blue print as it is a 2'x2'x4' tent and albeit being used for veg, it can be used for flowering too with the same setup
I saw the vent you have and was thinking about buying that soon. The thermometer I bought comes with humidity meter as well....i think we have the same tent. I just put the seeds in a shoe box in front of my heater. This is a test grow and hopefully my mother will stumble on the cbd oil benefits video I opened and minimized on her computer to try to ease her into the whole weed being good for you shit..
What are your thoughts on the t5 lights

And I might buy a carbon filter when it begins to smell

89$...if you want to be cheap this isn't the hobby for that....this light is great tho. here's 2 hard at work
I know I'm going to have to put some money down. When I say cheap I do mean cheap but at the same time I'm not trying to buy $400 lights $100 sounds reasonable.

Also in the future should I purchase auto seeds. Would this help for a more successful grow

I have been building stealth cabinets for years and I can tell you that the smell is always tough to fix. trying to hide it from someone that actually lives there is not going to be cheap for a first timer and doubtful that you will be able to pull it off

To all threads I'm in I will somewhat abandon after this round harvest to go back underground stealth, I'll be watching and pop up from time to time.
