2 in 1 pot

I germed 4 seeds and had 3 pots to put them in. I ended up having one left over obviously and i doubled up the seeds. Ends up i have to plants in one 10 inch wide pot. Will i have to transplant the second plant or can i let 2 plants grow together like that? The one plant is fully open with its first set showing and the 2nd is just about to open up and show its leaves later today. What should i do under this situation. Thanks again

well i made the mistake of leaving up to 5 in a pot together. they don't grow as well this way. the plants need all the room they can get and with 2 to a pot you can say each one has 1/2 as much room as would other wise. the other thing i noticed is that only one or two would be any good, like the strong ones take all the space and the weaker ones' growth is stunted. the bigger they get the harder it is to seperate them, so sooner is better. good luck!

Usually one plant will take over the other plants root system over time.

You need to keep it one to a pot. The roots will intertwine. Not good for the plants and a headache to try to seperate.

Yes, but on the brightside if you want a plant with an extremely large root system, you could just wait till the stronger plant takes over the weaker plants roots, and then smoke the weak plants shake or something.
This would probably make a stronger plant.

Or transplant the second plant into its own container and end up with two killer plants and a awesome crop.
