Haha, yea, we used to go to The Clinic a lot for their live resin. I've tried most all of their strains btw. The problem with the clinic is, all their shit looks good in the jar but doesn't have much smell or flavor. I don't think they cure properly or something. Then you get the prepacked bud that often doesn't look anything like the nugs they showed you.

Now, Sour-D lol. There is much mix up over sour d around here. I've had the sour d flowers and ice wax from Kind Love as well as several sour d varites from CAM. I know the sour-d flavor, or at least what they call sour-d in Co. There is also AJ's SourD, NYCD, ONYCD, ECSD, and others, lol. I don't remember Chemdawg or any others having that distinct flavor.

BTW, Deathstar is similar to more sweet kush/ogs to me.

As for the smell of everyone's bud, I'm not sure what you are getting. All I can tell you is musk/earth/sweet sounds like og/kush to me. I'm a fan of the more sweet stuff, Triangle is my fav, closest other strains would be the 92 OG CAM had or sort of like SFV.

And yea man, I totally agree about the air in my house but I'm telling you something is different somehow. Smoking inside vs out, i dunno if it's the smog, air, what. Also, my torch sometimes has a different flame if I open the front door. I think its something to do with the altitude.
I def. got that switcheroo feeling at the clinic a bit, but the samples they had were the best I was able to find in a short time. I went to 3 places but would only spend my money there. I went to AMA, and Euflora also. I got some gummi watermelon candies form ama, but didnt spend anything at euflora.

As far as sour goes let me tell you this, when I tried the deathstar form the clinic (without knowing its lineage) I guessed it was Lemon skunk x sour d. I could just taste the sour immediately but it had a lemon candy on top if it. After I looked it up and saw it was Sensi Star x Sour D I was only even more confident in my pot palette. Trust me be dont wanna sound like an asshat but I know my sours!!

Chem is the father of all the sours that you mention. Its started that whole terp and it is rumored to be related to the og's also, so I totally understand all of the arguments over this for all these years. They both have a very fuely smell that is not found other places except chemdawgs.

Imvho I think there was some mix up or something with the chem d and chem 4 vs the original chem 91. But hey I wasnt there so I am just talking out my ass. I remember my first encounter with the sours tho, and I know which sour I am looking for what I am sourcing locally.

Just my opinion

I agree man. Good info on the Chem. to me, it has that sour(ish) flavor depending on pheno.

@AlGore
Most og's here in co are kind of shitty compared to out in Cali. Cams 92og was bomb tho for sure. Most ogs I've tried around colorado don't seem like true ogs to me.

Does kind love grow organically?

@Extacie I've never actually asked about their grow, my nose tells me all I need to know, hehe. A lot of the "may contain" stuff on the bottles is organic. All I can say for sure is their shit is hands down the best bud I've ever had. CAM I'm pretty sure was hydro btw.

Agreed on most OGs around here btw. Shit from most places is total garbage across the board. But yea man, I've tried many, many ogs/kushs from all over Denver and Boulder. Most everything from KL is kill. LeeRoy is my fav cuz their pheno is SO GOOD and super TK dominate. On the other end of the OG spectrum is their Tahoe, or Wifi. Again both amazing but I think they are more the classic OG flavor. Then there is also their ARC, my 2nd fav strain of all time, I don't even know how to describe is atm, lol. OG18 from DR is pretty good too btw.

Since you mention cali bud, I've had dispensary bud when I was in SF and when I was in LA. I don't know shit about the source but the Venice OG we got in LA was pretty good but didn't come close to some from KL or CAM. BTW, the "grow master" for kind love(@kindlove_farmer) as well as I think one of the owners, left Kind Love. I know that @kindlove_farmer, is now @harborside_farmer and they took ARC and all the other fire KL genetics out there. I guess Harborside is working toward growing all their own, and they wanted the best, so they came and stole the best in Co, lol. Pretty soon cali heads are gonna be claiming they discovered shit we've had for years, lol.

The whole sour/og/chem thing I dunno but I'm telling you guys there is a very distinct flavor to the sour d I've tried. I've had straight up diesel strains that were different and closer to ogs but the sour I've had is always the same. Like I said I dunno, I think Sour-D is a different strain out here vs the east coast, people are always arguing over it so I'm pretty sure that's the case. KL has it on their menu right now and they list it as Mexican Sativa x Chemdawg - Sativa dominant. It is always dominated by a very specific flavor that is not present in any of the ogs I've had. It does have some chemy/fuel flavor they aren't prevalent to me.

BTW @shishkaboy , good call AMA and Euflora (and many, many, MANY others) are really shitty spots. Did you go to Denver Relief or no? I know I recommend that a lot but until Kind Love get rec going they are the best. The Clinic isn't bad, their bho is usually pretty good. I'm not sure if Greenman has rec now either but that would also be a good spot, although I went there like 3 months after they hooked up with RD and was not impressed at all, I've heard good things recently so who knows, maybe they've dialed it in better.

Sounds like somas Nyc diesel to me. If so your ogs are closer to the sour.So you are right. The real sour is Chem 91 x dnl.
If you google chemdog history you may find a radio show on youtube where all the dudes that did the breeding called in and talked about it.

Ya for sure man! I guess it's hit or miss here and in Cali both probably. I've been out there a shit load, like 15-20 times & everytime my friend whose lived there for 15 years hooks me up with the best stuff from the best stores. But overall the best flowers I've ever had has been in this state. I just miss the ogs I've had out there. Closest I've seen too it is at pink house. I'd love to get my hands on genetics like that.. May have to make a trip out to Cali soon :P oh and SAC has most of the "cannabis cup winning" dispensaries out in Cali. Which I think doesn't always say a whole lot, but I've seen the best quality ogs I've ever seen there. Sf and LA are cool but very touristy, so they charge crazy prices for decent to great quality. Kind of like Denver vs. the Springs. Denvers bigger with lots of tourist so they charge like 280-325 a oz for top notch where as you can get the same quality in the springs for 135-250. Same thing if you know a good caregiver, then you can get that same quality that you can at kind love/up in denver for 100-200/oz.

As far as the chemdawg/sour d thing I have a cut of kind loves chemdawg and a cut of sour d from the springs and I've had tons of sour d when I lived on the east coast. I always taste that sour(ish) taste on most sours/chems/a lot of ogs, like although they all taste different, to me personally I can taste a relation between them. But everyone has different taste, ya know? To each their own.

Ya I knew CAM was hydro, but they were damn good at it! I was just wondering with kind love because they have always tasted organically grown to me, seems like organically grown stuff has a certain type of "smoothness" to it that I've never tasted with stuff grown synthetically.

If you had to pick your favorite ogs at kind love/the ones that have the most og/kushy flavor, which would you pick? I noticed they offer clones of some of their ogs sometimes.

Hey for sure on the hit/miss. I have no doubt there is kill all over out there. Hell, my own expedience is mostly limited to dispensaries so I have no doubt there is even more fire shit that I'll never get to try, lol. I still have a big list of dispensaries in Co to try out actually. And it's hard in my mind to compare Co to Cali, nearly everything is different. I feel like there is a higher concentration of quality stuff here just bc of the way their system is set up and the sheer number of people, etc.

You mentioned Pink House, I put them in the same category as The Clinic. Their shit is good but not great. I liked their SFV but Trill's is better. As for KL, I think their grow is organic, its always super smooth and I've never smelled better jars anywhere else. CAM had more "elite" strains, and specialized in kush, and it showed, but KL has the terp game on lock, lol. They really dial in each strain. Right now I have their.... ARC, WiFI, LeeRoy, Ghost, Durban, Cookies & Creme, Tahoe, and the LeeRoy and ARC are my favorites. I honesty don't know what would be the most OGish, lol. Their Goji I find very interesting, they sell both pinesoul and queen mother cuts btw.

I smoked up with people from CT, IA, TX, CA, WY, NM, PA, and a few I forgot to ask.
Everything I shared was better than everything they could all find on their own. The dispensaries aren't even trying.
Was a stoney fun holiday week-long weekend kinda thing. Giddyup.

I agree with you on pink house and the clinic both. I'm not a fan of the clinic or big stores like that in general, but the reason I mentioned pink house is because they do have certain cuts of OG that are similar to what I've had in cali and I havent found any other cuts of og like that around our state so far.. Overall I do not like pink house though and do not trade with them (or really any stores anymore, idk even know where my med card is) They are too stingy with their genetics and I HATE stores like that so won't spend another dime there. Although I do want to check out kind loves og's especially since they offer cuts of some of them. What did you think of their pine soul og? That's one that sounded like it had a similar terpine profile to "fire og" that I've had out in Cali.

I couldn't agree with you more as far as we have a better concentration of fire stuff here in CO. The best stuff I've ever smoked has been here in CO. I just miss certain strains of OG and GDP I've had out in Cali. Would love to get my hands on some good cuts of OG like that.

The deathstar was the only thing I felt that was worth the price.
I immediately recognized the sour d flavor in it, with a lemon candy taste over it tho.
I am used to a more stinkier sour, but the d-star was close enough.

I feel you man, I feel like most stuff at the clinic is not worth the price, but they do have a couple strains that are worth it if you have lots of extra money to spend. It's funny with the sour d's I've seen around CO. Some of them look great, but most of them don't have that super stinky sour smell that I'm use to back home. There are a couple places I've found in the springs that have that super stinky sour reek up your house type of smell

I've tried all of the clinics ogs (all except their newest ones they just got in) and none even came close to the ogs I've had in Cali. Mainly In taste, it was the taste from the ogs in Cali that I've never really found anywhere except for like 1 or 2 strains at pink house. I think a lot of the reason was because the clinic grows synthetically where as the ogs I smoked in Cali were organic. Crazy how big of a difference organics make in taste/smoothness. I just did a side by side test Botanicare vs fox farm nutes and the botanicare came out way smoother an MUCH tastier. It's a night and day difference.

they have been run side by side with cali cuts and are the same...

I have been running FF complete line for quote a while and I have no complaints about my smells or tastes. I really think it just comes down to the grower.

That's what's up man that's a great deal. But I mean like we were talking about earlier its hit or miss depending on where you go; a lot of dispensaries have different cuts than others. So the ogs I've had at clubs in Cali could be completely different than the og's you've had in Cali. The ones at the clinic are good though. Just different than the cuts i tried in cali that I would love to get my hands on.

I run the exact same of fox farm nutes you show in the picture plus some other additives such as AACT I make for my synthetic runs and have been using them for a year and a half. I can keep them green the whole way through with botanicare or fox farm either one. My smell and taste come out great with fox farm. I had no complaints about them either and still don't with how cheap it is to use, but my friend who grows the best stuff I've ever tasted uses botanicare so I decided to do a side by side and the botanicare Really brings out the natural smells of the plant more. It has a much sweeter taste with the botanicare, gives it that deep, sweet candy like flavor -- I get that with certain strains running fox farm to, but not to the same extent. The texture of the smoke of the two is also different, regardless of how much it is flushed. There are a lot of differences I've been noticing now that ive done a side by side I never really use to notice before.

You should try some stuff from Trill in boulder if you get a chance, interested to see what you think of their SFV. Only get bud from the good shelf though. They have 2 grows, one good and one terrible.

And yea man you should try kind love for sure. I'm really interested to see what you say is the most cali/west coast og/kush to you.

That deathstar was nice..I got to try some from the clinic..I also use botanicare...as it's local
You talking about the dispensary botanacare or the hydro/nute company. I used to live in Brighton and would hit up the Northglenn spots sometimes. Botanacare(dispensary) has some of the worst products I've ever seen, terrible shop experience too.
