This means a lot brother, honestly. Thank you. It was/is exactly what I was planning for. I want this blog to be proof that ANYONE can do what they dream, if they work hard enough for it.

Wait a minute, dude, did you dig that hole by hand? If so that's a pretty decent sized hole in the ground man LOL. Anyways, your setup is looking great! More than anything I wish I had enough land to install a greenhouse or something similar like you did.
Yessir, I spent an hour every morning before work with a shovel/pick axe/and about a half a pot of coffee. It's 15'x15' and about 10ft deep. Honestly, you don't need a lot of space; just tight lips and good cover!
Thanks for the positive feedback, it's really encouraging!

Absolutely man! Looking forward to watching your grow progress through the season. Yeah you are right, I don't need a crazy amount of room, it just can be tough living in the city with neighbors pretty much right on top of you. I do keep the gate to my fence locked from the inside so the only way to get into my back yard is to either hop the 6' wood fence or go through my house. Hopefully in the next few years I will be moving to the suburbs and will have a little more privacy.

I have been doing some LST and topped them at various points earlier in the season. My neighbors have never given my a hard time about anything really but you just never know. I just get worried at times since I think some are able to see over the fence when on a higher floor and I'd much rather keep it completely secret even though I'm in a legal state. I have lived in the city my whole life and it's definitely time for a change.

I mix plastic flowers into my pots when I have plants outside. Hide in plain site.

Man oh man am I starting to get paranoid! There's been a few fires in the area so every once in a while I'll hear those ghetto birds and have to run outside to make sure they're not hovering over my place. I'm well within my limit and I doubt they'd spend money to fly over, dispatch and send anyone out here over ten plants but the thought still weighs heavy sometimes.
Other than that, I'm happy to announce the beginning flowering. I can see where the colas will form and can already smell the sweet aroma from the Cindy 99s. I'll get some more shots of the flowers here shortly but in the meantime, here a couple shots that I took yesterday.
Cheers!!IMG_2748.JPGIMG_2756.JPG

I get the paranoia the coppers chopper flys over my house/grow every single day more than once a day. Live only a couple miles from the launch pad. I've been doing this for almost a decade never been hassled yet. I'm banking on as long as I'm not growing acres or dozens/hundreds of plants I should be good.
Couple years back they took a grow just down the road from me that required an 18 wheel dumper and 2 tractors plus whole day to remove and no arrests.

Fantastic grow. Love the pit idea. Just less than 5 years away from retirement, and you have me planning WAAYYY ahead now.

Cheers!
Thank you!!! Since you have more time Thani did to get things ready, I suggest you look into walapini designs. That's how I started but couldn't find the time construct a proper roof. I would have preferred laying down gravel on the ground and then covering it up with some native soil to help with drainage. I also had plans on lining the walls with ceramic tiles or bricks to hold the days temp throughout the night (ideal for light dep). If you get this going (proper, not half assed like mine) you could potentially harvest like four times a year. Just veg them inside and toss them in your walipini/greenhouse and start your dep. It takes the average plant about 8 weeks. Shit, you could get a perpetual harvest going! Sometimes I wish I could stay and make the correct adjustments but then I remember where this harvest will take me; I'd rather start from scratch in HILO!!!
Cheers

I can't tell you how many times I reflect on your entry. It even put my ol lady's mind at ease. So, thank you!!!!
I keep telling myself how much money the police would have to spend (and the potential liability since it's legal) to not only employee a chopper but also dispatch police up the mountain for ten plants.

Love the effort you put in brother
U deserve a gd finish its only karma
I really and truly appreciate that, thank you! At this point, a lot is riding on this. As you can tell by my name '808bound' I'm trying to get enough funds to move to the big island. I work for a dispensary and have all the connects I need, I just need these to finish nicely.
The other day I was at the grow store and had to cater my choices based on bud size ( if they get too big, mold becomes a very prevelant issue). But, I don't want them whispy hash buds either so I went with emerald harvest; a nice in between nutrient that if I'm not mistaken, is a sister company to advanced- the only nutes I've used in the past (indoor).
Anyways, thanks again for checking in and for your kind words!!!
