24 hours of darkness once a week during flowering

Weird question…. Wondering if anyone has ever tried this? So there’s usually around 8 weeks in a bloom cycle, has anyone tried doing 24 hours a darkness once a week for the full 8 weeks and the other 6 days a week normal 12/12? I’m trying it right now. Every Monday to Tuesday they are getting a shot of 24 hours of straight dark and then the next day they go back to the 12/12. I may just be imagining it but seems like my ladies are frostier when doing this? Still in the experimental stage so can’t say for sure but would love to hear some input on this from other people

Interesting experiment.
I think it'll work and it'll prob tap out the plants faster.

Please keep up posted.

Only concern I have is, it's gonna mess with its feed schedule.

That’s actually a good point. Hasn’t seem to affected them yet but we’ll see….

No harm in giving it a whirl, but seems pretty counterproductive. I would think that they would be short on the energy needed for flowering and that extra dark time would just sorta be wasted and cause it to take longer to finish.

My plants like motor oil 3x a day in June. I know for a fact, that it's how you can make any plant FiRe!!! My friend's, cousins, brothers girlfriend told me so.

In the past ive done a couple reduce flowering cycle schedules.. one was 11 on 13 off and another time 10on/14off .. it was mixed results.. some plants finished alittle earlier some didnt, some yeilds were smaller some were about the same.. i was running multipal strian crosses at the time.. if i do it again it would be with clones of only 2 or 3 strains/crosses.. i would of got better data if i had done it that way. but anyway give the one day off a try.. you never know but i think that may cause stress induced hermi's running one day off and 6 on.. never the less, good luck with your experiment
