24 off 12 on cycle

my buddy has an aerogarden and is in the last stages of flowering. he started doing a experiment where he goes one day 24 hours off and the next day 12 hours on and 12 off . vise versa 24 on 12 off 12 on. anyone have a say on this lighting schedule?

haha thats what i told him . i was like uhh stick with 12/12 , hes like no man it makes them think they are dying and gets more energy. im like are you fucking stupid you are screwing their brains up. hes like no man it has made them fill out more. he just spits out nothin but bs. he does no research, has never grown a soil plant or anything, (hence the aerogarden) granted i have one but i have modded it and give it nutes whereas he just puts hot tap water in thinking the roots absorb it better (cuz it opens up their pores haha) and has never changed the res. just tries to think like he knows shit and it pisses me off. whats ups cali .

what he is going to get is a herme

its a female man . but i would guarantee a hermie if he was still in veg. hes about 3 weeks from harvest on his 1 little aerogarden plant that he thinks is the shit. when he first started he thought he was gonna get a 1/4 lb from that aerogarden i laughed on the inside. guarantee his little weak ass plant is onyl gonna give him a dub max an 1/8. he doesnt know about my crop though. hehe

hes like check this and opens up his homemade closet, first thing i notice is tin foil all over, hes like check the buds they are gonna get sooo dense. all i saw was wispy see thru lookin buds cuz he rushed the veg and is def rushing the flower. 1 month veg 1 month flower.

Dayum. I always veg for way too long lol. I guess its better than not vegging long enough eh?

If you're gonna risk growing, at least do it right... if you try to show him and tell him the RIGHT way and he still doesn't get it.. well.. just wait.. when he harvests less than an oz. you can be there to say "ok.. my point proven.. ready to actually grow now?" LOL...

fo sho . atta girl . hes such a dumb kid. anyways a question for my plants. its been about 2 months veg . should i trim the lower water/fan leaves to let light shine thru to my branches . heres a vid of a couple days ago .

But on the same token I gave my plants 36hours of darkness when I switched to 12/12

only initially though of course I don't want the hermies like your buddy will have=)

ok what is the best time to start the flowering how long 600 w/hps? 30 A lot of plants in A small room

I have 47 in a 4x4 SOG under a single 1000w(they are only 5days into flowering though and growing like crazy..if you do SOG you should be fine....depending on your pruning

they can gop hermie later in flower and thats prolly what will happen lol

Theres nothing worse than seeing someone doing something all wrong and not being able to help them. Mind you most of the time people don't want help.

To be honist if someone came into my room and started telling me to do this differntly and that better, I would probably get a bit up set.

That said, I would still lissen to them and later when i was all alone I might check it out on the internet. I gess it's all in the attuide.

The tin foil thing is really anoying though, and when you tell someone, they just pretend like they didn't hear you. I gess it's beacuse it must take, like hours to stick it all to the wall.
