Ok so I'm gonna get the 2700k cause it seems to be the right one. Thanks. And how many plants could I grow off of 1 CFL light?

Or is there a better led light around the same price or is this the way to go? I mean I have good experience with a cfl light on a male plant I tested my green thumb with and I like the cfl way no where near the 250w cfl but like three 50w's xD so either way I'm still in the process of finding that right light.

You need to get a lower Kelvin during flower I noticed difference ingrow from 1000 Kelvin difference in bulb during veg but I found out hps are the better lights. But those bulbs should work decent keep light close and reflective. My dad just grew a female no trim or nothing all natural on 4ft 6200k and not like we expected big nugs just got like 1oz of skunk shake trimming for big buds would have made difference but I could still tell the light wasn't exactly the best. Decent ruderalis weed tho. Would make difference if you switch to the other lower Kelvin for them flowers . But I think cfl stick bulbs are like 10 bucks for a good set .

Right now im in veg and i understand you need at least 3000 k for veg. True ?

also with CFL's LOW STRESS TRAINING IS CRUCIAL! i cant stress that enough, without low stress training CFL's don't get light to the inner node and initial stalk, it will still grow but you will appreciate your yield and the beauty of your plant by doing low stress training and then possibly super cropping and lolipopping it, of course im unsure about autos i do not use autos they are poop imo.
autos are far from poop my friend

Hi all,
I have done a week of research now about growing with CFL's but I haven't gotten or found an opinion from a more experienced grower about 2700K CFL's. My question is, can i successfully grow with only 2700K lamps, please, I know you're supposed to use 6500K for veg but where I live 2700K is the only option, believe me it is. Ordering is not an option. so again, is it successfully possible?

Thanks in advance,
Sir.SmokeAlot

That's actually a very good question now normally it's true You want to use the bluish color of the color spectrum for vegging You're 5,000 k and above however..... Then you use the 27,000 k for the blooming AKA the budding processes....... But allow me to give you some food for thought when you plant a seed outside or when nature just decides to grow its own pot plant for the hell of it .......do you think the sun decides or thinks ..."hey i better switch over to the 2700K color spectrum...... This is why most weed growers would ( if they're smart they will) just buy a full spectrum bulb ....most of them have nifty little settings like timers built in so you never have to worry about whether or not your lights turn on or off on time. Most full spectrum lights also 3 mode Saturdays you could literally sat it just for vagin as and then when you're ready you could set it just for blooming or turn both of them on and just go full out full power full spectrum which is what the sun does so it's a nice feature to include a veg switch and a bloom switch but the sun does full spectrum as growers we should just do full spectrum. I just did an experiment with regular household light bulbs and it worked but I had to switch it out during vegging process and had to go with the cool soft white light bulbs and then when it became time to initiate the budding process I had to switch over to the warm reddish colored light bulbs. In short I'm sure if you were to use the red spectrum light bulbs throughout the entire process it would do just fine You would probably end up with a smaller plant .....with less yield..... slow growth..... However I noticed when I used regular old light bulbs that you would put in your living room lamp it worked but it certainly slowed the growth process down I just recently bought two full spectrum 100 watt light bulbs that you can screw into a regular clamp lamp and I'm telling you...... within 24 to 48 hours I see a difference....... highly recommend these products I also have a larger size full spectrum light inside my grow tent. I can send you the link or you can text me 440-251-5830 or message on Facebook....Alex Bush. I must be honest here and admit I am new at this... But I've begun my second round of growing and my first round gave me 3 gorgeous plants.....out of the three plants, two out of three were fantastic and I mean they were potent as all hell I was highly surprised about how potent they really were and by the way it is true Even if you have no males around your females if your female plant goes into some sort of stress or traumatic event at all during her life she will become a hermaphrodite. One of my plants I got plenty of buds from them but I tell you what every time I break them up not to sound insensitive but it literally sounds like Pearl harbor sees just splattering down on the tray The good news is as long as the hermaphrodite wasn't pollinated by a male and it wasn't fat caused by traumatic events in the plant's life every seed from that hermaphrodite will be guaranteed female So supposedly in theory every seed I get every seed I get from that plant will be a guaranteed female.

i vegged for years with 2700k, work fine, if anything, plants are more compact (funnily)

(also couldnt get 6500k here (can now, just very expensive in growshops)
Wait are you saying that you used a 2700K red spectrum bulb through the entire process vegging and blooming and it gave you a small er more compact bushier plant?

Hold on a second are you telling me you used a red spectrum 2700 k grow bulb and it made your plant grow healthy and compact like bushy compact cuz I'm looking for that I'm trying to grow bushy ones not tall ones I have limited space to grow and cultivate in.... I do however have a tent not a very big one but one that will work I can also turn my decent size closet into a grow room if necessary with about a thousand rules of aluminum foil anyway I'm sure you're very busy and have a life just like the rest of us but a rapid response to this question would be greatly appreciated my username is bush5087
