2x 600w Backstar grow!!!! New Set up!!! (Lots of Pics!!!)

good job on your grow man! I am running 4 600w blackstars with a 1000w digital HPS in the middle. And I can honestly say the blackstars are powerful!

pretty disappointed in this grow. i only ended up getting a little less than 133g's out of all 6 plants. ill post up some pics in a bit.

Too bad I can't look at the last month to see how it was going huh lol. Do you blame the lights or other factors.

Wow that is pretty low -- less than 1oz per plant (!?) -- curious like supchaka whether you think it was the LEDs or other factors... i was just thinking about ordering either a 900w or 2x500w blackstars but if that's what you get from that wattage... how far were your lights from the canopy?

Yes please explain more. Wondering also was it the lights. What are u use to yielding. What strain is it, have you grown this strain before.

One more question, how much heat do those 2 600watts put off? how much ventilation would you need for a small space with those?

any dry shots?

I am currently using CFLs thinking of upgrading n going LED
maybe this thread will seal the deal

Chipz (or anyone else), do you think the 2 watt diodes had anything to do with it?

hey sorry for the long wait guys. Been going throw a lot of things lately (surgery, moving, break up) so havent had much time to do anything. Im thinking it was more of a light problem. My nute schedule seemed fine. The buds seemed big but were very light and airy. Im gonna be selling my light on ebay in the next day or 2 and buying a 1000 watt hps when i get my new place. I have to say though ...it was some really good smoke!!! very strong and smooth and tasted great. ill try and get back on to answer some more questions in the next few days. thanks and again sorry

What day did you harvest at? Is it possible you just took them a bit early and they needed longe to fatten up? I have heard something about LEDs taking a bit longer to fully flower compared to hid don't know if it's true.

i have the exact date on here some where...it was over 9 weeks

Did you check trichomes on them before cutting them or just go by eyesight?Sucks that you didn't get the results you wanted. Hope I have better luck on mine Also how far from the top of the canopy were your LEDs?

You can see the buds underneath the fan leaves suffer, you should always allow for maximum penetration by removing fan leaves below the 3rd node from the top.
