Everybody's Cafe in Waterford was raided yesterday afternoon along with another location on Williams Lake Road. Plus, a location in Ferndale was, also, raided.

MI AG Mike Cox was the one to initiate the raids. The scary thing is they confiscated all of the records, including those of the patients. So watch yourselfs out there.

I understand that the Dems are holding their caucus this weekend at Cobo Hall. I believe this raid was done to make Mike Cox look good for some political purpose.

Please, hold him accountable. Call and complain, if we do nothing we lose.

Just heard on the radio that they raided homes!!! The radio report said, HOMES, so that is more than one.

I guess they used the idea that the compassion club owner committed a crime at his place of business so that opened up his private home to be raided too. Hope his children weren't there.

I heard they raided 5 more despensories/ clubs today also. What is the reason they raided, and are the patients in trouble?

They are probably going after clubs or dispensaries that are questionable or operating not within the law. More news is sure to follow, can you guys keep us updated? As for home growers with cards, do not panic, make sure you have the allowed number of plants and NO MORE. Not everyone is happy about medical marijuana and they are going to go by the book and look for violators. It may be their way of saying "I told you so"

These are the growing pains of this new law,,,cases that are a result of these actions over time
will mold and shape this new paradigm.

Case law will be set by some of these cases with the proper attorney at the helm.

As Serapis stated stay within the parameters of the Law and you'll be fine.

they did pull hundreds of plants from at least one of the places. i dont know whats so tuff to understand, 12 per patient. 5 patients max. 99 total if your doin a co-op. its stated that anything over 99 is federal and against state law. i just dont know why they would be growing so many. they needed to have more buildings and spread it out more.

I dont think the law says that about 99 plants but dont quote me on that i may be reading it wrong. but i know 99 brings up red flag. And i havent heard that about the plants they took but i heard that leo sent undercovers and were able to buy meds etc without legal card now whether that means no card at all or fake paperwork or legal paperwork over the 21 days i dont know. The dispensaries better hope they did not do that cause if they did they are hurting our just cause.

99 plants brings in the Feds. If they didn't follow the rules it's their own fault.

And yes, it has already hurt our cause. Listening to some people at my local pub they are using this to point out the problems with it.

Thats what happens when they get greedy. Unscrupulous people get into the business to provide meds and end up breaking laws to make obscene profits. The compassion laws were not written to allow them to become rich, yet they break the law and add weight to repeal critics.

I used to eat at the Everybody's Cafe good food just not enough customers. So he looked for other ways to stay in business, but maybe he did get too greedy.

Yea but none of us know yet what is true and what is not. But yea if they were selling to undercovers and no documentation then fuck them and if not this shit has got to stop.

Don't sweat it guys. The police cannot operate outside of state law... I'm sure these establishments did something and were caught by undercovers, hence warrants for the search and seizures.

I caught Sheriff Bouchard on the news. If you grow in Oakland county you better do it to the letter of the law. Even the prosecutor is in on this one.

So now we know it is Attorney General Mike Cox, Sheriff Bouchard and Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney Jessica Cooper. They waited until Ferndale approved zoning for the clinic then pulled the trigger.

I, also, heard that there was additional busts but haven't seen anything else about it.

They say the police went in with guns drawn and ski masks on. Same for when they raided the homes and they threatened to kill pets, too. Pitiful, just pitiful.

I would be playing by the rules if I were you. They will be checking on everyone that they acquired information on, you can bank on it.
