3 weeks in to flower, still stretching, how close to cool-tube?

I'm 3 weeks in to 12/12 and each day the plants are still stretching. I'm hoping they will stop any day.

How close can I get to the cool tube? I'm running 2 x 600W HPS (plus the 300w CFL)

I've done the test with the back of my hand and it's not hot at all, even when an inch away from the tube, my concern is bleaching. Do I need to worry about this?

Should I start to bend the tops over with some wool to keep them at this height from the tube? Or is it OK for them to go a bit closer?

Hard to use light to keep them down, you're hitting you're flower spurt, you will get quite a bit of hieghth in flower, I like to top my plants to keep them low, LST might work with your wool, hard to say not familiar with LST:-? best of luck to you!

It's an amazing plant man they have a mind of their own sometimes, id say move the light and if you start to see any color variation from it then move it back

I can't move the light, it's as high as it can go. I'm just wondering if I should bend the plant slightly.

I'm sure I've read posts before where people had plants nearly touching cool tubes with no issues.

Same as mine. They look sweet man. What are you feeding them?

Will you just leave yours to push against the glass of the enclosure?

When i ran a 400hps back in TX i never had bleaching problems when it touched the tubes. I wouldnt think a 600 would either, as long as you glass stays cool.

Right now im using
Dutch Pro Take Root
Canna Bio Vega and Bio Flores
Plagron Alga Grow and Alga Bloom
Fossil Fuel Humic Acid
Canna Boost
And a little dash of monopotassium phosphate here and there
