Thanks for following city boy. Looks like a nice clean grow spot. But I agree if you think your light is starting off much too low. I think if you keep your girls happy they'll likely grow up to it or past its usable footprint. What strain do you plan on growing?
I'm going to use some bagseed first just as a test run and hope for the best, then I wanna try some NL(always been my favorite). I'm just using a bike hook I had laying around the garage but I'm going o get a smaller hook and that should raise it a few inches but I am certainly open to any suggestions. Of coarse some lst will be involved to utilize the space best and to maintain distance from the light.

Yeah I was kind of surprised at how fast I went from being worried about them being too small to too tall lol

You should order seeds. You'll be much more confident in your ability if you grow with quality seeds. The end result will surprise even you.

That might just be worth it, damn I'm easily convinced lol. What is a reliable site stateside? I've always just felt a bit sketched out to order online.
I don't know any stateside banks experientially speaking, so I can't recommend. I use @Midweek Song ( http://www.midweeksong.com/ ) and get them in 4-6 days from London to the Northeast US. 20% discount with the code roll20 and you get a minimum of two freebies to choose from a list, 3 if you hit $50, 4 at like, $100, and the list grows with each tier.

So, update on this post so far. I made my first harvest of some very seedy bud. Either I got pollinated by the male I pulled out right away or I stressed them to the point of hermie. Either way I pulled a few zips of some almost unusable bud... almost half seed when actually dried. I was disappointed to say the least. Also I think my pots were too small as well as some other stressors that caused serious issues with my plants. I.e ( I mutilated them trying my hand at defoliating around the worst possible time period, 8 days into the flowering cycle). Anyways, see somes of the pics I attached. Hopefully I'll do better next time. I definitely learned alot :) thanks for all the help to everybody that contributed and responded!

Hey all, update on the ViparSpectra grow journal. Got my single lady (Applejack) in a 5 gallon bucket of fox farm soil. She's still under two 300w viparspectra reflector series and I'm using the fox farm trio for nutes. Today is day 17 of flower, feeding 5-6L of about 800ppm juice every 3 or 4 days. The net is 2'x3' and lights about 18" above.

Any constructive criticism or advice is highly welcome!
