Maybe a gr/w isn't accurate in this case. When I thought about it, this last plant kinda got passed between tents. Definitely getting 260ish watts of led for lengths of time...

20170301_185131.jpg Dont know if the site is uploading pics right now since it's been having issues but thought I would give everybody an update on how the LED tent grow is going. Started 12/12 on 2/3/17 which makes today day 27 I believe. Everything is looking nice so far. Four girls in five gallon buckets, going strong. Hoping for about a pound ;)

Impressive. This is promising. In the past I've bought a Mars Hydro 300 and used it to veg until flowering with a 1kw HPS. Since moving, my new space and electrical set up is limited. I've been researching for quite some time and have seen enough evidence through grow journals that I've bought two more. I realize you're using a different brand (which I've read good and bad about both) but that's what I'm figuring out for myself. Your grows take away much of the hesitation of going with a different brand. With every successful harvest with LEDs only I'm going to try various brands and sizes and work my way up. Once I find myself hitting a ceiling in regards to power and efficency for the price, I'll build my own.

For now, the three girls I have flowering under two Mars 300s have so much more perk to them and just overall look happy. They vegged for 6 weeks under a 180w UFO and will be my first ladies under LED from clone to harvest. I've been growing for quite some time and with making a transition from T5s and HID to LED, I'm hoping I do as well as you have shown us.

Nice! Glad I can help. I followed the same trail before buying mine. If I can offer one thing I've learned for sure in all my research is that more small LED fixtures sre better than fewer large wattage fixtures. Light placement with them is everything. I like viperspectra and stick with them because they daisy chain together and they're cheap :)

Just an update on my ViparSpectra 600 grow is my 4th grow ever. I am growing the same strain as my first grow, I call it Enigma because its effects are different every time one smokes it, a quick background. My first grow I yielded 14 grams from one Enigma plant with 2 68W CFL's, but I made many mistakes. My second grow was all males, so I pollen collected from the afghani and C99 males I had growing at the time. My third grow was under a cfl array I made but only pulled an ounce from them, they had pest issues and heat issues almost whole growth. this grow has been virtually issue free, and I converted from cfl to led. I am definitely noticing the power of led. With led I believe a Scrog is still the best approach.

So we are now at day 26 of 12\12 and these Enigma's all have definitive differences. The front plant on the left smells like a sweet berry, the plant on the back left smells like a sweet citrus berry, and the last plant on the back right smells like dirt and pepper. All three plants are already very frosty and sticky.

I would like to see how your plants are coming along Customcare.
Hows everything coming along 73T?

So I I've definitely noticed some good growth on the bud sites right at the same time a few lower leaves yellowed. I just fed yesterday with ff big bloom and tiger bloom hoping to pack on some weight before I start flushing. Currently at 33 days of 12/12, thinking they'll finish at 63-70 days.

Have you contacted viperspectra? They may replace it?

I had ViparSpectra 450s (two of them) before my COBs, and the person I sold them to last year is still running them. I'd either call you a liar or your malfunction an anomaly.

If you want something new to roll with, something 4-5x more powerful with less wattage, roll Tasty or some other COB. 1 89w T1 outdid 2 ViparSpectra 450s immensely. I got a QP from the ViparSpectra, and a full pound from the COBs.

Brother you got much to learn. $300 would get you a kick ass light. Probably about 30% more efficient than what you got. When it's all said and done the amount of money in those LEDs you could have gotten a grow light that performers amazingly and will last for 10 years. This is why in this forum we hound guys.....we just don't like these shit led companies getting growers money. You'll grow fine weed of course but there are so many options that are proven to be better. Most dudes with cobs are getting 1.5+ grams per watt with little to no veg time. Which is epic.

Please report your grow here tho.
I know this thread is a year old but just wanted to add some insight. I have a 4x4x8 tent which I started out with just a 400 watt switchable mh/hps. Growth speed was decent but definetly not what i was expecting. So i went on Amazon and ordered one of the 450watt viparspectra's. Only $119 shipped. Once added to the tent my plants exploded in growth speed. Despite being a cheaper led. They obviously have some level of benefit. Ecspecially only consuming 200 watts and not adding any additional heat to the tent . Personally I think they work great as supplemental lighting simce hps is still best penetration. Having led adds to having a better spectrum of colors.
