You will see all kinds of different strains of autos grown in a cup and how different people went about their grow. But, even with a cup grow, you're gonna have a challenge with that 30 cm height, especially by the time you toss a few lights above it. If you don't have anything bigger, perhaps you can try with a small, maybe 8 inch pot and try an LST method to keep em low. Also, with that small of a space, you're going to be limited to CFL or LED.
