What up all... new LED user here and just picked up 2 336X-Pro panels from hydro grow. Main question is how high should I keep the panel above seedlings/transplanted clones? I read somewhere 24'' is the ideal height but it didnt specify whether that was veg/flower or both. Dont want the babies stretching b/c theyre too far away. Also Ive banged out some grows with HID... any hints/clues/tips on the differences with growing with LED? Add another LED user to the family!!!

Welcome to the LED family, Count! Best advice I can give is to start high (24-36 inches for veg) and lower them as needed. Just keep an eye on them and ff they start to stretch too fast, drop the light some. Main difference I found with leds is the uptake of water/nutrients is slower due to less heat in the room. Pay attention to how your girls are speaking to you under led instead of how they were under hid. Other than that, it's pretty much the same. Might want to pick up a bottle of calmag just in case, most led growers seem to need extra levels. Best of luck to you, and I look forward to your updates!

Well they sure as hell arent cheap!!! haha... I just hope the extra cash pays off and they perform like they should and I dont have any mechanical issues with the panels. For starters these things are bright as all hell... was downstairs transplanting the clones I picked up and watering the seedlings and I was damn near blind after I walked up stairs! These things have some serious light output which is very nice. If things go well I'd like to add one of their 420x pros down the line to help with the lower growth. I know thats not what theyre designed for but it be pretty bad ass to have couple LED panels up top and then one of those in the middle of like a circle to really give the lower branchs some light. Couldnt imagine what kinda weight you could pull utilizing the whole plant and not just whacking the bottom portion so all the focus is on the top of the plant.

I have the panel at 24'' right now so we'll see what happens going from there. Anyone know of any member here using the 336x-pro or any other hydro gro LED? I was sketched out ordering from them after all the bad things I heard but that was a few yrs ago and if the product works I dont really care a whole lot about who made them. Hopefully nothing goes wrong with them so I dont have to worry about getting it fixed. Ill keep the LED family updated on how things are going.

Puffenuff - Calmag is already in my schedule but Ill keep my eye out to see if maybe I need to up my dosage. Thanks for the input.

they have some great new reviews but time will tell. not having to worry about excessive temp or having to add air cooling to my room, so i want to add this light between the hps's and see the difference because i have many years of consistant, documented grows with this setup.

bought the first generation of the penetrator 336x I would have to say that I think I would've gone with two of the smaller sizes just for ease of configuration. The 336 is a real heavy bastard and very difficult to hang 1 person if you have to hold it and clip it.

I currently have it combined with a 400w Cmh and I'm seeing heavy flowering in dwc with AN nutes. But I think I'm going to drop the Cmh and use a 420 indagrow instead.

hi everyone. this is my setup with a 336 x2 pro from hydrogrowled.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09dTZn43ziY only recently was a Stealth grow led added but its exspensive shit. take that to the bank
Hi there nice vid, is the plant on the right under the Penetrator and the one on the left under the stealth grow? The reason that I ask is the plant on the right/back looks like it has the entire lighting rig of a Pink Floyd gig shining on it but the one near the door just looks normal LED...

out of 6 plants the SG is only supporting 2 it sucks so hard. the hydrogrow on the other hand has the biggest budds and has twice the plants to divide light.
