depends on your current electric bill, but that is like $35-45/month per light over here, so maybe?

n ya thats how alotta growers get busted, for looking suspicious on the bill, not paying the bill and lookin suspicious, or stealing electricity cause it cost so much extra... might as well pay it and not make a fuss and pull attention to yaself

I live in california and i just ran 4 1000 watt hps lights on 24/0 for 3 weeks and 18/6 for 1 week. I dont use anything else in the house. I dont have a fridge nor do I have a washer or dryer and I live alone. I just got the bill and it is $826.00 for 1 month. On average you can figure at least $200.00 a month per 1000 watt hps that is being used at 24/0

find out what your kw/h cost is thats how much it should cost to run 1 1000w light for 1 hour . figure out your hours per month and multiply it by the amount of lights you have . it should give you a good idea +/- for inefficiency of electric circuits and other equipment

A new large tv system including dvd, video and 5.1 surround system uses about 2500 watts.
A small portable heater will use up to 2500 watts.

Sudden and noticable hikes that come under scrutiny are nearer to 20,000 watts and from the rumors that i heard the electric company don't care as long as your paying for it and the police have to get a warrant to force the electric company to provide details of your electrical consumption as part of their case against you.

9 times out of 10 unless you are stealing the electric they don't even bat an eyelid for 10,000 watts unless its under police warrant.
This is all hearsay to me though and i cannot confirm if it is true or false:blsmoke:
