total newb here first autoflower grow

sprouted a Dinafem WW & Blimburn Grizzly Purple on 20/4 light cycle about 4 weeks ago, WW looks like rubbish and grew a fail 2nd node/stem now it looks like nemo with a bad fin but shes green and healthy. Grizzly Purple is stretching although a midget of a thing about 7" tall give or take

I was under the impression that I would see signs of flowering by now? are they delayed?

both seeds are feminized if that matters

thanks gents for your time

Put it on a 12/12 cycle and you'll see some flowers.

20/4 is a veg cycle.
Omg, are you reading this guy's post before "helping"

If you know for a fact it's a auto keep at 18/6 for the duration. Some even do 20/4. Less light than that will impact your yield. 12/12 is a terrible idea for an auto.

Do you see any hairs at all yet? Something like this ( an auto I have going)

20161218_132511.jpg

Got those between week 3 and 4. If you got no pistils now and nothing in the next week, you might not have an auto.

What is the origins of the seed?

No pistils unfortunately. They both have what looks like 2 or 3 little bunches of foliage growing towards the bottom. almost looks like popcorn bud sites forming but no hairs what so ever

Origin is from attitude seed bank. I assumed they have to be what they say they are based on the fact that I repotted them at 2 1/2 weeks and they stunted bad because I didn't realize it is an issue for autos. (the regulars I have are twice the size, same age)

And you bought them? Not given to you?

Got pics?

Some autos do run a little longer than others. Should see hairs in next 10 days I would think, otherwise you might have a duddy

Breeder times are rarely right with autos. the tap root determines flower on an auto. The larger the pot the longer the veg time. Higher N will extend veg time also.

With larger pots they might go 100 days. Let them do their thing and they will flower. No need to play with light schedule.

I'm not sure why people are replying to an Auto thread in the Auto section and keep referring to 12/12 light schedules and photosyn types as if it applies in any way to my situation.

I do run regular seeds. I do flower them on 12/12. In my flower tent as intended.

These are not regular seeds, they are autos. They are in a 20/4 veg tent as intended.

To the other replies thank you I will wait them out and see how they go. They were freebies thrown in with my order so if they are a flop it's no loss to me. I'm only growing them because I've never had autos before and I figured they don't take up much space why not try them out for fun.

Yea I think they'll flower soon, mine just randomly flowered after 3 weeks out of no where. One day no flower at all but next day already had little bud forming. My photo has taken almost a week and is barely showing signs of flower. I'm growing autos just to experiment, it's only been 2 months and I should be smoking my own grown stuff early February.

Thanks gents

There's been a nice growth spurt/stretch on the grizzly purple over the last two days which makes me feel better and less worried about it staying so small once flowering. The ww had a minor growth nothing to brag on but it's something. Still no pistils on either, I'll give them a few more weeks then throw them in the flower room if they still don't show

finally got around to some pictures to maybe get more insight on this first auto grow

This here is my WW midget puny lad that I should have tossed from the start but didn't have the heart to do it

This is the Grizzly purple. Also a midget of a thing but not as mutated as it's WW friend. Slow growth, and no hairs at 4 1/2 weeks in

i'm running a grizzly purple auto... i'm 7 weeks in... she is looking nice... prolly be end of march before she's ready was hoping sooner. i'm a newb... 3rd grow... first sucked because of user error... 2nd turned out good in closet... 1 think different one ak auto... prolly 2 oz each. this plant is looking way way more impressive than i expected... probably 2-3 ozs as well is my guess... i also have a 60 day lemon auto in there with her... she is sucking balls plan structure just sucks. I'm not sure where i went wrong. If she will stretch she might be fine but i'm not seeing any so far on it. here is the grizzley purple auto tho (blimburn)

that's actually a really bad picture but i don't feel like taking another or getting it out of the tent. i'm excited tho. does have a little nute burn underneath but hasn't seemed to have effected her at all. I will most likely grow another later in the year... i have some Florida Lemons (DNA) that are young and slow growing... the goal was to have the photos ready to switch to 12/12 when the autos were being harvested. i'll post a picture of the grizz purp in a few weeks when she is ready to harvest in normal lighting

My auto seeds germinated Feb 21. On March 28th none of them had flowered. I switched the lights to a 12/12 cycle in hopes of forcing them into flower. All but 3 have started to flower. My question is once they all start to flower should
I return them to the 20/4 cycle? What are the risks?

Fyi I recently got those same freebies from the attitude seed bank and they were definitely autos.
Give em time. I use a 20/4 cycle
Anything from dinafem should be great! I was very disappointed in the grizzly purple. It did not turn purple and she only gave me an ounce.
White widow though was at least 2 zips per plant.

Good luck!
