The run down: Welcome all to my third grow, my past two have not really produced much product but I have learnt a great deal and had fun doing it so this time hopefully may be a bit more successful, At the moment I am growing two strains that are random bag seed the first of which I think is a sativa, I call Stretch I call them this because that’s quite simply what they seem to do and they grow quite rapidly, at least compared to the Hulk which is my second strain and of which I think is an indica or indica x sativa which likes to grow short and stocky and is not the most rapid grower. I have also started three new random bag seed seeds to which I refer to as Newbie’s.
I am keen to here what you think or any sugestions you may have so fell free to post if you wish. Or is it acceptable to start another thread and use it as a discusion so this one can be kept clean and easy to follow?

Two 23 watt cfl’s(1xcool white and 1x warm white) over four, third generation stretch clones and one third generation hulk clone, and one small 13 watt cfl over the three newbie’s, Also pictured is the thermostat that is set to 30c and that controls the small 10cm modified desk fan that blows air in and the bottle on top right is the passive air outlet, And all of this is crammed into the top half of a fridge freezer in the attic ,the bottom half of the fridge is where I keep all of the nutes and tools ect.

Have moved the four stretch’s into the Grow box in the basement , My grow box needs a few upgrades like at least painting the walls white ,a tarpaulin on the ground instead of a sleeping bag which mold will love and a better scrog screen of which at the moment only has 12mm x 12mm square holes, but at the moment it will do as it is, other than that the Grow box is 1.4L x 1m W x 1.2m H with two small 10 desk fans the lower one for air intake and the higher of course for exhaust, a digital temperature/humidity meter and most important of all the light, at this stage of the grow I’m using a 150w mh on 24hr when I switch to 12/12 I will be using a 400w hps then at the later stage I will chuck the mh back in as well to make shore the buds are getting all the light they need.

Hulk and the newbie’s enjoying the extra room and light I have put the three newbie’s under the two cfl’s and the small 13 watt cfl over the Hulk just to supplement. By the time the four stretches have done their thing in the Grow box I will have taken several clones off the Hulk and they should be ready for their turn to flower. I don’t really no what im upto with the three newbies at the moment by the time the Hulk is ready to move to the grow box I may have established wether or not they are female and may have a clone or two of them to chuck in as well to see how they do

Stretches have settled into their new home quite nicely the yellow that was quite distinguishable ( from the lack of light in the fridge ) has all disappeared. As you can see they have a lot more space to fill yet.



I have bent the Hulk (left pic) over so that it bushes up nicely so I have heaps of healthy branches to choose from when its time to hack her to pieces for clones.
The Newbie’s are coming along, though the larger one in the bottom right is showing some deformed growth, and the smallest one has weird discoloration on its leaves (Pic far right) the bottom left one is completely fine though, probably the male of the three.

Today I have painted the inside of the Grow box flat white and put down a clear plastic sheet over the sleeping bag to prevent mold.
I have also put the three Newbie’s and Hulk in here as well so they can benefit from the otherwise wasted light below the screen

Have finally re potted the stretches should have done this at least a week ago.

Have moved Hulk and the Newbie’s back into the fridge.
The Stretches look like shit at the moment after the shock of getting re potted and also a majority of their leaves are covered in spots (looks like rust) and just generally look unhealthy I think this is due to me being a bit slack over the last week and just watering them with straight tap water not PH’ed or nuted so will have to pull my finger out and get this sorted.

Today I gave the stretches a good soaking with PH balanced and nuted (66% strength) water so hopefully they start to show signs of recovery I have never had this problem with this strain before.I have also trimmed most of the big fan leaves off the hulk to let more light get to the future clones.

Today I have put the 400w hps in the Grow box and changed to 12/12.
I have also trimmed the leaves on the branches that I intend to clone tomorrow ( to reduce water demand, and doing it before actually cloning should give them a chance to heal before the added shock of getting cut off from their mum ).
I have also built a cloner in preparation in the form of a bubbler
It’s a black light proof tub that I spray painted white cut holes in the lid and got a pool noodle and cut discs off it and inserted these into the holes ( to hold the clones ) There’s a 100w aquarium heater mounted through the side seems to keep temps around 24-26 and a air pump and air stone of course.

Today I cloned 8 off the Hulk and put them in the cloner and put them in the fridge. I also cut the tops off the Newbie’s because they were getting to big and taking up to much room, I hope this doesn’t affect them too much lol oh well. Stretches are starting to take off.
