With this budget, how would you build a stealth set up for your closet? Only looking to grow 1-2 plants at a time. I prefer to not having to build certain thing from scratch. Would like to to able to start from seed to harvest in same set up but not completely necessary. I would be using autoflowers to start with. Budget needs to include everything including nutrients, testers, timers...etc....

Lets have some fun!

That's a very nice set up! Wish I had some sort of old unused wardrobe cabinet or something to use. Great job!
Thank you.

I bought it at a thrift store for $80.

Check Goodwill and salvation army. I'm sure you could find something.

I've built grows out of cabinets and all kinds of stuff.

Awesome! Another quick question, I will need to use a power strip to connect all my equipment into, would this be safe to do?

Yes.

Somewhere in my thread it shows how I did mine. I used a heavy duty extension cord to go from the wall to the cabinet. I cut the plug off the end and actually install outlets in my cabinet.

A power strip will be fine. Get a decent one with surge protection.

Get one with a timer on it. They are Around $30, but you can kill two birds with one stone

Broken fridge (chest freezer turned on its end also work well). Not as much room as a cabinet but they come with no light leaks and are sturdy.

Just works better for me this way.

I paid around 20 for the extension cord. It is a heavy duty cord for construction. It is a heavier gauge than the ones with timers.

I'm still getting the hang of tagging the right post. Just to give you an idea here's a pic. I like it because it's all in one piece and it's all surge protected. Just an idea, I didn't even know these existed till I came across them online a few months agoimage.jpg

The right side is always on the left side is a timer. So you have the best of both worlds. Generally 4 outlets Are timed and 4 are always on. It's very convenient
For like Christmas lights or something?

Got a link?

For the sake of cost the OP could use a regular extension cord, outlets and a timer. The only thing that needs the timer is lights.

A cord for 5-10, outlets and gang boxes are fifty cents a piece and timer for five bucks.

Not saying your idea is a bad one. Just bouncing ideas around.

Maybe it was directed at the op but you quoted me.

Does it have a rating on it? Like how many watts it can handle?

Post a link where you bought it. I would be interested in looking at the specs on it.

I am alittle confused....what else other than the lights in your tent would you need to have on a timer?
