nice one beef, you got any pictures with a lighter or something beside the buds so we can have a better idea of their size? thanks

I want them to get a full 24h of darkness! :D

But the suspense is killing me!
do 36 to 48 hours. no more no less. you will see a huge difference in resin production just on your scissors. I've experimented with that. I noticed a huge difference in resin production for keeping it in the dark for 2 days vs 1 day.

Basically light destroys trichomes. they replenish or form while the plants sleep. As they sit in the dark for longer than normal, the light doesn't come on when the plant expects it so the plant knows its going to die. So it pushes out much more thc to produce seeds so it's lineage can live on. Since the plant has not been pollinated, no seeds form and the calyx swell up that much more and more oil and more resin production occurs. after 48 hours the buds become spongy as if the plant is already dead and hanging. so don't go passed that.

What you said has no scientific evidence.
As of now nobody really knows why marijuana produce it's trichomes.
However it is quite accepted that light (especially toward the uv side) is what actually turns thc's precursor in thc.
One thing is sure: light does not destroy trichomes,at most it alters their chemical profile.

Have you ever grown before or even read anything on mj........? No offense. Your reply made me laugh.

Mj produces trichomes to protect itself from sun rays, insects, and animals. Ever noticed a dead a fly stuck to a bud...... An abundance of light over through a whole day breaks down the molecules in a trichome. Over use or too much uv spectrum causes that much sooner. too much infrared spectrum burns the trichomes and leaf. breaking down the phosphorus and potassium in the leaf
