Oh and don't forget that they also produce resin/THC/stickiness to catch pollen to hopefully continue on next season...

Mj produces trichomes to protect itself from sun rays, insects, and animals. Ever noticed a dead a fly stuck to a bud...... An abundance of light over through a whole day breaks down the molecules in a trichome. Over use or too much uv spectrum causes that much sooner. too much infrared spectrum burns the trichomes and leaf. breaking down the phosphorus and potassium in the leaf

Obviously i have , otherwise how could i have an opinion on how and why this plant produces trichomes?
And what is the point of this sentence?

This is probabily true, there are a lot of reason why plants use trichomes, another one to add to those you listed is to prevent excessive transpiration.
What i am saying is that currently there are not enough cannabis-related studies to achieve a scientific consensus on why this particular plant produces them.

So you disagree with me then agree with me and argue the points that you agree with hmmmm. You said uv light changes its chemical profile. That is restructuring of molecules. That is far different from molecules breaking down. When molecules break down, there is no chemical profile left.

The attitude?????? you are the one who started in saying there is no scientific proof. so I provided some scientific proof, instead of reading it you attacked it. Are you afraid of knowledge or are you one of those people who are always right even if you wrong ?

Every one of those studies was experiment on cannabis. If you read through them you would know that. Even a couple of them say it in the title. they were all how light effects the surface of plants. Each study has a section about trichomes.

UV light does not turn a trichome into thc. thc forms out of other cells. When you use about 5% uv spectrum, mj produces more trichomes to protect itself from the rays but does not produce more oils and in no way creates thc.

If you actually read through the studies. You would of saw the that they show diagrams of how trichomes form and degrade.

Here is a video that explains how trichomes form, among other things. Since you can't take the time to read anything which is obvious by your statements. maybe you can hear it said (sarcasm).

hey man the light in that link produces fuck load of heat, if u want one that doesn't produce heat but still emits UVB rays try one of the 26w 10.0 bulbs
