$5000 for my flowering room.

So I have a MAX budget of $5000 for my new place, I will be using the master bath for a veg room, so that is taken care of, I have about 5k to spend on my flowering room.

It MUST be stealth, cant have any major odor leaks.

Trying to be power effiecient, but I am considering up to 5000w

Trying to MAX yield in the space.

Not wasting money on a hydro setup, no offense to you hydro guys but Im not building hydro so dont bother.

My first idea was to buy a 10fx10f secret jardin growroom, 4x1000w or 6x600w HPS, dual carbon filter. I would then grow to 18inches, lollipop and flower.

Thats about 4k right there with the new lights and cooltubes

My other Ideas have been growing vertical, I have no experience with this but I have seen some nice pics of full flowering vert rooms, but they are still only pics.

Im quite interested in a 3-4 shelf stadium style grow with 2-3 1000w HPS.

My biggest question is what kind of yields are people getting in vert grows, yield/wattage?

My newest idea has been a pair of Volksgarden, 2 of them would be just over 4k after taxes, and they seem like an incredibly efficient use of light/space, my only issue with this is what if my plants grow too big in the system, Anyone have experience with these?

Any other tips would be great.

Im basically looking for any new ideas on how to maximize yield with minimal wattage.

I would first use a spare bedroom, i not build one in the basement for sure. With all material costs a 10x10 room should cost abou $3000 to get going. I would definately go with 4X600's, just to keep the power down.

No way around it.... even with cool tubes you are going to need a 10,000 btu a/c to cool that space with that much light.

Thanks but not really what Im asking. I wouldnt use a basement. I have 3 available bedrooms, Im not worried about that.

Im more worried about yield/wattage, and maxing efficiency of the lights.

4 x 600 would be a waste of time and money growin flat, unless I got some ridiculous yields in a vertical setup I wouldnt bother.

if you really knew what you were doing and were willing to spend that much money, you wouldn't have to ask the kinds of questions you are asking.

Read the post see what I was asking before posting useless comments.

I was looking for different opinions on setups, flat vs vertical before I spend a bunch of money on the new setup.

like I said, if you knew what you were doing, you would know what the best setup would be. I can think of several different setups that would produce ALOT of pot for $5K. And all of them involve hydro, all of them would use less light, and you wouldn't even need an air conditioner. ever heard of liquid cooled lights?

.....again more useless comments. I can think of 100 ways to produce a lot of chronic for 5k. I am asking some people their opinions in different setups. As much as you may think you know, I know you havent tried any of these things or you wouldnt be here "preaching the word".

Like I said Im not interested in hydro, I knew there would be someone trying to force hydro down my throat as the best thing since sliced bread and I dont care.

If you read my original post, Im looking for opinions on flat vs vertical vs volksgarden.

So far you have made a bunch of useless comments and ruined a possibly useful thread. So unless you got some useful, or helpful info, please stop wasting my time.

Yes I have heard of watercooled lights, a huge waste of money if you ask me.

Why ask for opinions and then toss out everyone's advice. Maybe you need to re-ask your question better if the answers aren't what you are looking for. And sounds like you know everything, so do you really need advice?

i beg to differ...secret jardin grow rooms are outstanding if you know how to use them.
My point (although not elaborated on) is that if you have a 10x10 space... a tent is likely not needed. When I hear 10x10 I think "spare bedroom"... which is where I grow. I bought a tent... only to realize.... I didn't need one. I wasn't criticizing the "secret garden" tent.... I was wondering about the actual need for one..... big difference. ;)

Yet when I gave valid input on your post you brushed me off with "I didn't say I was worried about heat".... what's up with the attitude?:confused:

.....again more useless comments.
You buried your question about Vertical Grow at the bottom of your post...... people skim... get to the point sooner next time!

You really need to step off and make an attitude adjustment! People took the time to respond to your post!

No offence ever intended. People should read posts better, theres a lot of people on this website who are happy to offer their info, or regurgitate others info even though they have no real experience.

I sent you a private message apologizing and you didn't even have the courtesy to respond, positive or otherwise. And if you use "$5000" as a tag line, you're just trying to get attention. Florida Girl is a cool chick who knows what she's doing. All you are wanting is people to pay attention to you. You don't really care what anyone is saying. I've read your posts, and you know what you're doing, but you've got a shit attitude.

Im sorry I never got your PM, Im getting tired of people coming on here telling me how bad my attitude is. I never asked for a bunch of people to show up and start telling me how I should write my posts, I never said Anything negative to Florida Girl.

I was a little upset after getting constant replies from squish that are totally OFF TOPIC. Im sorry but if someone highjacked your thread for attention you would be mad too. Your the one who came on here and started posting in my thread. Im not the one looking for attention, I just want to make sure I look at all the facts before making a rather large investment.

Again everything since your first post has been offtopic, and you claim I have the attitude. Again no offence to anyone in the forum, sorry if you take it the wrong way but seriously, grow up a bit go write a blog if you are lonely.

Im just trying to make up my mind on vertical vs flat, Im not looking for arguments so please dont bother, you already destroyed my thread with you useless comments.

Also thanks to anyone who Did post useful info that was on topic, its always appreciated.
