Can you grow autos from seed to flower with 5000k COB, have one extra and don't know what to do with it. Maybe use it for space bucket grow.

Should be fine. I've used 5000K bulbs for growing and they work great. Haven't done autos with them tho but can't see why they wouldn't work as the plants are still vegging while they flower so it might even be better than using a 2700K type light.

I would just use the 5k light for veg and flower, and not bother with getting another red spectrum light. Back in the 80s, used a MH and cool whites for both with great results. The MHs/cool whites back then were closer to 5k than 3k, soad OMU said, you should be fine. I don't believe that the ruderal "auto" gene is color temp specific where it will only autoflower at a particular color temp and below.

Great, building two space buckets one with 3200k COB and one with 5000k COB. My 3200k for photoperiod and the 5000k for veg and autoflower. Can use 5000k 16/8 to veg photoperiod while mainlining then throw plant into 3200k bucket for 12/12 flowering while using 5000k bucket 16/8 to grow autoflower at the same time (best of both worlds) .
