600W aeroponic/DWC medical closet grow

Im so confused as to where to cut. Do I cut the baby leafs off, or all the new growth? Im so confused. Help me Mr West!

The picture from underneath with the leaves and such... that was an amazing shot. I thought it was funny too saying boo and yeah to the roots. Haha... when I saw the picture of your cats, i was making an awwww type noise. My wife heard from the other room and thought it was our cats moaning at eachother, so she came in and started making the same noise, lol. Your what cat looks very much like one of ours. And we have that toy behind him/her... the tiger print thing on a stick.

Regarding topping, I'm not sure what the best way to go is. You are going to have some giants by the time they are done growing. When I top plants I just cut off about where your fingers are grabbing the plant. No real care on my part when I do it. Where ever you cut it... the branches below the cut will be the main tops. Does that help at all?

Ok TG858, here's my tips for a Saturday evening. Had a squizz through your journal, looking good so far. Getting to the exciting part now!!!



I would bend, or basically half snap all your heads down below the top line of the green grate/screen you have there. Carefully pinch the stem, you will feel the squeeze and slight pop of the membrane, then bend over carefully and tie down or tie to support up (depending on how the bend/snap went) Do not worry about how heavy handed you are. At each snap you will see a large knuckle grow as the plant pumps nurtients throug to repair the area. This should reduce your canopy height and enable you to even it off as well. It will also massively increase the number of main colas you will have growing.

Re you clones. The ones that are flopping over. Pull them back out, re-cut them and pop them in a shot glass of water until they perk up. Re-cut at 45 degrees under water, rootgel/powder then back into your cubes. They should pick back up again.

Actually,that's awesome advice. I have the same problem. I have the light,but I am babysitting 4 Mazars till next weekend. Pushed back my flower date. Was lookin for a way to tie em down. That sounds about right. Love the way that little bitch shot past the light. I got one like that. She just wants to go. Pulled her top off yesterday so she would bush a little. Doesn't seem to matter where the light is,she just shoots straight up. Peace.

If you get trellis netting, then you could make an even canopy in your grow area i did this in my 4x4 tent and it worked wonders!

Alright, So Its been a week since my last update. Ive been busy with the THC Expose. So, my tax check arrived today and I quickly cashed it and threw it at my grow room. I picked up:



I picked up a 600W Lumatek dimmable ballast and Yield Master 2 Hood.
I picked up 2 Hortilux Eye Super HPS bulbs.
I also picked up some BudIgnitor, Bud Candy, and Sensi bloom 2 part

I plan on switching up the way my grow room looks and works for the flowering. Here is what I am going to do.



As you can see my plants are huge. Ive waited way too long to flower. I have a medium case of Powdery Mildew on all my plants, It started with the White Diesel and spread to the other plants. I will start treating them with milk and water tomorrow. Hopefully it can be contained. According to my Hydro guy everyone in So Cal is having issues with PM right now.


I will update again later today with the work that Ive done in the room.

Update:

Ok time for todays update.

As you can see, Ive built a frame for my room. Its 3ft wide 7ft tall and about 6'1/2 ft long. This way, no drilling into my ceilings or walls to hang my light.

Now, as you can see, my light is about 20'' over the tops of my plants. I can still raise it up about 2 ft.
Speaking of the tops of my plants. I topped them. Yup, I hacked the heads off my babies. I guess this postpones my plans to flower this week.
As you can see, I still have tops above where I cut, I just hacked off the main growth from the stem.
I topped my other plants too, I took the top off "Monster in the corner" "Lucille". I even took clones from the plants too.
As you can see, my white diesel is dead. I cut her roots, what was above the water (I hope all her roots in the res wont kill my other plants. I just couldn't untangle them.

I did however save the top from my other white diesel, and replant her in this bucket. Maybe I can salvage a new clone from her. I hope so.


If anyone has any thoughts at this point, I could really use the help.

I don't see why you need to put off 12/12. You need to flip that switch now... they are only gonna get bigger. Other than that I would pick off leaves with the PM on them. And keep an eye on that. I use sulphur powder... seems to work great, and no effect on the smoke. You need advise on anything else? keep up the good work.

Well, now I have all these clones, I figured I would give the plants that were cloned and topped a week to heal up and get a little bushy, that way... hopefully... my clones will root.
How much does sulfur powder run? have a brand I should get?

Update:

So, I couldnt run the other 600W on my apartment electricity, It just kept blowing the breaker. So i returned the light and ballast and picked up a co2 regulator and some kushie kush, and a ppm pen/ph pen.


Other than that..

Sulphur powder I got at my local nursery. Cost $8 for a tall can. Looks like a 22 oz or something. You mix the powder with water and spray the plants. Last run I sprayed I think 3 times. This go round I've done it once and may do it once more. You don't want to spray within 3 weeks of harvest. I got Lily Miller brand sulphur powder, but it is just elemental sulphur, so nothing brand name about it. Whatever they got. And apparently Tomatos are the closest thing to compare, so you can say your tomatos are getting some PM going on and you are looking for sulphur powder.

Bummer on the dual 6's. Hope you get the co2 pumping alright.

True that man. Sorry about to hear about the 600. But the o2 maker is a sweet gain as well. That's like #3 on my list after new fan and carbon filter. Seems like no matter what there is always some shit we need. Never ends,cause when you get what you want you just start lookin for new space to upgrade or start over. Lol. Hey,about your electricity issue,get an electrition to come over and check it out. They should be able to do something for you.

Lol... ain't this the truth. I forever have a list of things I want for the grow. I swear if I had $100,000 to spend only on the grow... I think I'd still want some more stuff. I would have broken even a long time ago saving money buying smoke... but I keep spending more on the grow op. Never ending for sure.

Then there is the pile of equipment I don't use anymore, lol. Getting bigger all the time.

You know,I got my spare 200 flourescent with some other shit at a homies house babysittin one of my girls for another couple days. Than he gets his own. Got that shit outta my room. Thought it was a great idea at first,but the other day I remembered I was keepin it for a back up light. Now I gotta go buy another 600 HPS bulb so I have a back up. Lol. So keep that old shit,you never know.
And I know you live in an apartment Guy,so do I. I got a buddy comin over to wire me up another 20 amp breaker on my existing box and run a new plug into my room. He owns his own company and he's only chargin me $60. Old construction buddy. I admit that it will probably cost you a little more,but it's worth it. I will ony end up with one small hole going into this room,even though it's an apt that is not mine,I can remove everything and patch the holes with very little effort. Good luck.
