I have a 400w magnetic ballast from HTG and haven't had any problems with it. Sorry to hear about the buzzing :(

I have a 250 magnetic one from them too and that one is silent. This digital one though is a very loud buzzing sound.. I have heard this complaint before about their digi ballasts
