Hey all - first attempt at a journal and full indoor grow. First shot at true Indicas, first shot at Coco. Started 5 Mosca Sonic Fly, 2 Big Buddha Buddha Tahoe, 1 G13 Blue OG (Freebie), and, after one of the Buddha Tahoe's didn't germ, I tossed a Dinafem Critical + in the mix.
IMAG1918.jpgIMAG1917.jpgIMAG1916.jpg
The Sonic Fly are regular, the rest are fem. All have a relatively short flowering period so not too worried about letting one or two go an extra week. Plan on vegging for ~3-4 weeks, and switching over, cutting clones, and running the strongest contender for a mom. Using Botanicare Coco Coir, a bit of perlite, and a few hands full of croutons just to mix up the texture a bit. Also added a few tbsp's of pelletized lime but still plan on supplementing a bit of cal+mag in the later stages.
IMAG1922.jpg
RO water, ph'ed properly - temps are good (~low 70's) but humidity could stand to bump a notch despite having an open pan of water in the tent.

Plan on using the majority of H&G's lineup.
IMAG1933.jpg

Other than that, climb aboard for what's sure to be a wild ride.

So far so good - got the claw a couple days ago from being a little overzealous with the nutes. Flushed and now looking better, as of 2/20 they're exactly 4 weeks from being planted in the coco. Plan on transferring to 2 gallon smartpots soon and flipping the lights as soon as I can cut a few decent clones.

Also switched from using GH ph up to Mad Farmer Silica Boost to increase my ph. They're starting to smell wonderful.

Annnd for being patient, some outdoor porn:

2/22: repotted IMAG1996.jpg - feminized seeds in 3.5 gallons, regular in 2 gallon smart pots to save on nutes/water.

2/27: IMAG2012.jpgnoticed a slight cal/mg problem with one of the sonic flies and crit +. Supplemented with calmag+, worked like a charm. 2ml/g. Buddha Tahoe looks like shit still.

IMAG2013.jpg - weird mutation. luckily it was a male.

3/1: IMAG2022.jpg - culled males. Here's an obvious preflower. Pulled 3 of the sonic flies due to being male. Buddha Tahoe could be male too.

3/6: IMAG2032.jpg 6 weeks from seeds in water. Cutting clones and switching to flower. Not even bothering cloning the Buddha Tahoe.

3/7: IMAG2033.jpg clones :) rooting under a 13watt cfl with a vented dome and heat mat. watering with 1ml roots excel every few days.

3/11: IMAG2035.jpg Day 3 of flower. I'm seriously considering pulling the buddha tahoe. It's showing shitty preflowers, no pistils, and I have a great feeling it's either pure male, or the most fucked up herm on earth. The growth is weak compared to the other 4 girls, and I really don't see it doing well or yielding enough to make it worthwhile - thoughts? She's at 2:00. Regardless, I won't be buying any more Big Buddha seeds as only 1/2 germed, and you can see what a shitty plant it is.

Close ups under decent light - The healthy girls (they look slightly n def in pics, but very green irl)

First week of 12/12, figured I'd just give a quick update. Blue OG is the tallest, bushiest of the bunch, and has been a strong grower since it's very first day after breaking ground. She smells the best too - like hops and citrus. Can't wait to see how her buds smell. Critical + is second tallest and wants more nutes than I can throw at her... she has a wonderful fragrance of strong coffee and skunk. The two Sonic Flies have yet to reveal a huge smell profile, but they're looking nice. Not nearly as big as the other two ladies, but they're beautiful in their own right and my Sonic Fly "2" is looking to be VERY clone-worthy. Tent's between 69-72 degrees during the day and down to 59-60 at night but they don't seem to mind. Humidity was low early in the grow but now steady at 50% - considering another fan and dehumidifier if it gets any higher. Daily feedings of R/O, 6ml A/B House and Garden Coco, 2.5-3ml Cal Mag+, MG Silica Shield as PH+, .4ml Drip Clean, 2ml Amino Treatment, 2ml Roots Excel, 1ml Floralicious Plus, 1ml Botanicare Tea, Great White. Weekly mini flushes of water equal to container size. Any other questions feel free to shoot them my way?

I axed the Buddha Tahoe because fuck that plant.

3/13: IMAG2056.jpg forgot to take pics of them all, but here's the crit + I believe?

3/15: IMAG2058.jpg Group Shot

3/16: IMAG2060.jpg 7 days 12/12.

Very, very excited to see how these turn out.bongsmilie

Feels like I'm talking to myself here but no worries, hopefully this helps someone out, somewhere in time! Today is day 32 of 12/12. Started to have a few issues with nutes, dunno if it was lockout, etc, figured I'd err on the safe side and give a nice deep flush. Everything seems to be kosher in all departments now. Currently supplementing Bud XL and HCO's Crystal Burst (in small quantities).

Blue OG is tall and bushy, giant fans, tight buds that smell of cat piss and citrus. A little shaky on the nutes but still a beast. Critical + is gonna be a fucking yielder. The buds on her are huge, hairy, and stink of skunk. The Sonic Flies are far and away the standouts. While not being large (due partially to their smaller pot size), their buds are tight, packed with trichomes, and smell of the most fragrant overripe melon and pineapples imaginable. Hybrid vigor is nice - one is squatter, tighter buds, and has been maturing faster, so it's gonna be my keeper mum. You wouldn't even need odor control with these as they don't even smell like ganja.

On to the pics!

4/6: IMAG2164.jpg IMAG2167.jpg

4/9: IMAG2170.jpgIMAG2171.jpgIMAG2172.jpgIMAG2173.jpgIMAG2174.jpg

IMAG2175.jpg - Aaannnd here are the clones. Already topped, ready to go. 2 critical plus, 1 sonic fly, 1 blue OG. Not sure what's up with the purple limbs, and they look to be a little underfed or something, but still they're not bad for my first go around at cutting clones right? :eyesmoke:

Anywho, just countin the days til chop now. Probably gonna flower the Critical + clones and Blue OG, use the Sonic Fly as a mom, and start a couple Goji OG's. Stay tuned! :bigjoint:

I'm normally relatively hands off with my plants - I mean, I feed them daily, fuck with them, check them out... but every couple weeks at this point I have what I consider an "action day", in which I actually have to like, DO shit. Transplant, clone, switch lights - whatever. Today was an action day. Clipped clones off the original clones... topped the original clones again. Need to transplant the original clones but waiting til I harvest the flowering girls.

Used Clonex gel, trying to forego a humidity dome this time around just to see if I do or don't need one. I'm still using a seedling mat because I figure it can't hurt... tho the weather is finally taking a turn for the better and the ambient temps should be going up a bit. Humidity in the tent keeps climbing and scaring the shit out of me, I'm gonna have to do something about it soon. Hopefully the air coming in the passive intake, and the two fans in tent will keep mold in check. I've been keeping a close eye on it. Normal RH is around 52-55 in the tent but it's climbed to 57 the past few days.

Aside from that, the girls are happy, fattening up, pistils are changing colors, calyxes are beginning to swell. The Sonic Flies are dripping with resin like sugar coated beautiful crystal dipped emerald jewels. Okay I'm high, they look awesome. The Critical + is starting to smell fruity, skunky, losing it's coffee aroma a bit. Not too packed with trichomes but the Sonic Flies have me spoiled. The buds on the C+ however are HUGE and hairy, so the yield is still looking great. Great strain if you prefer quantity over quality. The Blue OG is smelling like cat piss and citrus still, buds are fattening up. Look like they're gonna be a bitch to trim... Debating on turning it into a hash plant but we'll see when it comes time to chop.

Questions or comments are appreciated!

Thanks sohigh, I really appreciate the kind words. Didn't know if I was just talking to myself or what! :blsmoke: I figured the Sonic Fly and Blue OG are both relatively "off the map" strains, so I'm mostly trying to throw this up as a reference for anyone interested in either strain.

I really can't say enough good things about the Sonic Fly though. But yeah dude thanks so much and stay tuned for some sexy bud porn VERY soon haha

IMAG2410.jpgIMAG2419.jpgIMAG2425.jpgIMAG2428.jpg Pics from Day 45

What to say? I've been slacking off on updating but haven't been slacking in the garden. Yesterday was day 57 for the flowering ladies and I pulled the Critical + and Sonic Fly "2" just because I was dealing with high humidity and didn't want to run into mold issues. 50/50 clear/cloudy so should be nice and uplifting. The other Sonic Fly and the Blue OG are gonna go for another week or so.

Aside from that, I 4 way lst'd the moms and threw them in the flowering tent. Split one of my tall Crit +'s in half but I don't really care, I'll get two hefty colas on her instead of four. The 2nd generation clones are all rooted perfectly with no humidity dome - next time I'm gonna try it without the warming mat. Started two reg Goji OG's for shit's and giggles, and I'm probably gonna start a fem RP Headband and a Positronics Caramelice. Thinking about tossing a Delicious Cheese Candy Auto outside in some soil just to play around too. Keep an eye out.

This is basically a little grow report for those interested in growing these strains.

Dinafem Critical + (fem): Didn't have much planned for her as she wasn't my first choice for the tent, but still I'm relatively happy. She's a yielder, and a stinky, skunky one, but I'm not super impressed with the bud structure, and I found 2 male flowers in the time I've trimmed her. She loved her CalMag. Thankfully none of them pollinated anything, but I'm still less than pleased with the fact that what I once thought was a keeper, ultimately won't be. I'm flowering the two moms I have right now and pulling the clone in hopes of finding something better. Bottom line: lots of buds, scary potential herm issue.

G13 Labs Blue OG (fem): Planned on a more indica-leaning strain here but I'm not necessarily disappointed. It was the fastest grower from day one, very branchy and long branches. Fat little nugs atop each branch with little gems of popcorn buds spaced evenly at all nodes. Super resiny, and went through some amazing changes in smell. At first smelled like citrus and hops, then smelled like cat pee, now it's materializing into a wonderful mango/fruity/berry scent. Initially didn't plan on keeping her due to bushy/branchy/not-so-high yield, but after week 7 is when this plant really begins to come into it's own. I've got a mom and a clone going right now and would consider running it regularly if I find a good pheno or figure out how to maximize the yield on her... I'm lst'ing one right now just to see if I can make it produce more. The leafiness of this plant is a little scary in terms of trimming/mold, but I'm sure if you grew out a pack of 5 or 10 you'd find something nice to hold onto. Bottom line: not too fat of a producer and a little leafy for my tastes, but the smell makes this a winner.

Mosca Negra Sonic Fly (reg): Not sure I have to blow this strain anymore than I already have, but found a lovely keeper out of 5 plants and will continue using it for a long time. Great hybrid vigor, great bud structure, great odor, decent yield, super sticky and resin coated.. just an all around wonderful plant/strain. Bottom line: Definitely a repeat buy/grow, I'm excited to check out Mosca's other gear.

annnnd a quick little Goji OG update - looking like they both popped. SUPER excited about these.
