So my water temp for these 2 ladies are 77 degrees. I believe optimum temps are 66 degrees. Am I going to face problems during flower or should they be problematic right now? They look fairly healthy in my opinion.

It could become a problem. Higher water temps hold less dissolved oxygen making easier for root rot to take hold and it can happen fast. Are you able to look at your roots with the scrog setup? It would be a good idea to either use some kind of beneficial tea or run a sterile rez if you're not already. I used 1 or 2 drops of chlorine bleach to keep everything sterile.

They may look fine now but, one shot of root rot starting and one day great - the next day all wilted and dead. It's that fast dude!

This is just one setup I have. I have another with 16 dwc buckets. I was in a rush to take advantage of the winter cold air so I don't have to run an AC that I didn't take the time to do a recirculating setup with a chiller. Even when temps are 75 my water temp is 71-70ish. How helpful is adding 16oz frozen bottles to the buckets? I've heard many grows been saved by this.

The frozen water bottles work pretty well, I have 3 old 1l nutrient bottles I rotate out when my chiller isn't quite cutting it. It's kind of a pain but it is better than 70+ temps that invite rot and pests, but putting bottles in and out also is a risk for contamination (an example would be glue from the sticker could leave you with floaties). I've heard good things about tea as mentioned earlier, and I believe a bennie tea is the best bet if the res temp stay above 70.

If you do use the frozen bottles I think it helps if you wrap some plant wire around the cap and hang it into the res to keep them from floating away.

I'm running Botanicare pure blend tea and some benifical microbes. Hope that helps. Would you guys recommend me dropping the frozen bottles in now at 71 degrees?

lot of work to run hydro is it really worth it ? I would throw them ladies into some soil and I would know what I have. no to stir things up in here ! lol not to start fights . in my ( OPINION ) a soil grow smoke is much better tasting any ways. so what. they grow a bit faster does not mean you will pull more weight .

Keep your air pumps in a cool place outside of growroom mite help bring temp down. Also regenaroot will help fight root diseases good to add with in your rezz.

Using Hydroguard/bennies, you said you're using bennies, so that helps keep the rot away at higher temps. In my experience I noticed at later in growth with more roots you are less likely to succumb to root rot than earlier less root growth so you'll prolly be fine since you made it this far. 77 isn't really that high since you're running bennies. I have done a full grow at mid 70's with no issues with hydroguard. The frozen water bottles works great for temporary, temps climb back up pretty fast after the ice melts, but you can get it down really low with them. I change res weekly too so that helped in my case. Just keep tabs and don't get lazy for too long.
