I wouldn't use that. I'd get a 30W-50W Warm White LED flood light, preferably with Cree chips, possibly with a couple ~645nm's mixed in there if possible.

Probably not. Each LED output is only 0.05W = no light penetration and probably wont even work for early vegging.

For $32, $35 after tax, you can get a much better light. LED lights usually aren't good until you hit the $100+ price ranges though. 14w LED panels don't work either as thats probably going to be the next cheap LED light you can get.

I wouldn't bother with these. I have tried a couple before but they dont have the power or lifespan. For some reason they only seem to work for about 2 weeks before parts of the light just stop working. You would be better off going a couple of these

or like bumping said, floodlights work. Here is another link for a 30w warm white/cool white chip and driver. All you need to get then is a heatsink and your away.

Good luck

I use the 14w led panels for the side of my plants they love it.

honestly go to garage sales. i just picked up a plug and play 175w mh ballast with bulb included for 4 bucks at a garage sale. also no, not even ten of those would veg a single weed plant i don't think. i'm sure that would work for some cabbage indoors though

I actually think a few of them might work ok. I tried a 3W on a single plant, and it loved it - of course that was no where near enough for it to get big, but the growth was good.

On what do you base your statement of "0.05W = no light penetration"? I would say that the total flux and the wavelengths are what determines the light penetration (lower wavelength = higher energy in each photon).

"I actually think a few of them might work ok. Like I said "of course that was no where near enough for it to get big" :)

You need to check this forum a bit more - LED can produce amazing results. But paying $150 for a 36W LED lamp is not a good start..
