So I am 9 1/2 weeks into flowering and this morning I noticed a single thrip on a leaf that jumped away and flew off when I got near it. I released 6 lady bugs into my closet with my 2 remaining plants. Can I do anything else besides putting up the blue sticky thrip traps?

It all depends how much longer you are flowering for?

If it is more than 2 weeks you could get yourself a HOT SHOTS PEST STRIP in there for a few days. BUT DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 2 WEEKS TO HARVEST.

I think there maybe a DOKTOR DOOM fogger out there thats safe after just a day or 2.

Lady bugs are useless against adult Thrips..though they may eat larva.

Keep using Thrips strips...fill the room with them. Keep the top layer of soil disturbed down to at least an inch. Pour a layer of playground sand on top of the soil. Increase fan speeds on plants. Keep room spotless. Vacuum plants.

If harvest is still weeks away...there are natural and man made remedies...Hotshot Power Strip is the easiest..but as above poster stated do not use chems if harvest is close.

I had a similar problem with fruit flies. The best thing you can do is hit it from all angles. Fly strips, neem oil, etc. You can also set the timers on your fans to every few hours when your plants are sleeping, that way the bugs cant get used to any type of consistent environment. I would point the fans to the underside of the leaves. If it's really bad, you can buy a pyrethrum fogger on amazon for 20$. Its a fogger with natural chemicals that wont hurt your plant and will ELIMINATE all bugs for 1-2 months. The only downside is that it might make your buds taste a little different (assuming you harvest within a week of fogging).
