9 leaves on plant

ok my first grow only had 5-7 leaves.
but this one i am doing has 9 on it.
what does it mean. is it better. is it good

people keep looking but no one knows
theres got to be a reason for 9 leaves

There isn't a difference, it doesn't mean anything. You get leaf variation between different plants, or even on the same plant.

the amount of fingers on the leaves mean nothing....sativas usually have more fingers as they are more narrow.

I just finished up a Violator Kush that had nine leaves. Tasted the same as the last.

It can be an indicator of relative health. If the plant is healthy enough, and receiving enough light to use them, the plant will continue to increase the number of fingers on successive leaves. 9,11,13, and more are quite possible on indicas or sativas as long as the plant is in good condition and getting enough light.

My plant has 11 big blades on a few leafs, post a pic tomorrow, its sleeping.

most of all of my plants have nine fingers on it.. just mostly the top bigger fan leaves will have nine and the smaller bottom fan leaves will have seven.. doesn't man a thing really..

These 2 have 9 and 11 leaves, I broke another branch that had 11 and the other leaves are in a little worse shape, this is the best looking one. One of my leaves I believe had 13 blades at one point.

so my 9 leaves are very thin and folding in half the long way.
some are also twisting, the color doesnt look bad just a tad on the light side.
what could that be, i will have pic in the morning

It could be a number of things, post up a pic and im shure someone will have an answer for you.

A-When every new fan leaf has more finger(Blade) than previous one.Normally , in a healthy marijuana plant,the number of fingers is as follow:
1st fan leaf has 3 fingers(photo 1)
2nd fan leaf 5 fingers,photo 2 and 3
3rd fan leaf 7 fingers(6 is acceptable) photo 4
4th fan leaf 9 fingers(8 is acceptable)photo 5
5th fan leaf 11 fingers(9 and ten is acceptable)
After the fifth internodes all fan leaves should have 9 to 11 fingers but 12 blade is a possibility(photo 6)
Ps: some strains genetically, never show more than 7 fingers , even in the best grow situations. I
B-When every fan leaf has its side branch even the first fan leaf and the side branches don’t stop growing at anytime during veg cycle(photo 7, part B)


c-The stem of a healthy plant has normally some scaling on it due to fast growth of the body compare to limited ability of skin stretch(photo 7 ,part D)


D-When the first small pseudo leaf (photo 1 part 1) keeps its green color and does not turn yellow


E- when the plant shows its preflower on time( some strains have natural tendency not to show their preflower on time) . In every strain the presence of the preflower is a good sign but its absence does not mean any problem.


F- When side branches fan leaves has 7 finger leaf(photo 5).

AGAIN I SHOULD SAY ABSENCE OF ANY OR SOME OREVEN ALLOF THESE SIGNS DOES NOT MEAN ANY SERIOUS PROBLEM BUT THEIR PRESENCE IS A GOOD INDICATION OF A SUPER HEALTHY PLANT.

13 fingers on this leaf.,a bit hard to see, but you can count 12 on one picture and the other pic sort of shows how they layer once the stem has filled all the way round/

Bella had 2,3,5,6,7,8, and now 9.

My plants 4 inches tall now and has sprouted her first 9 leaf... Plants don't have to be that tall and it doesbt have to necessarily be the top leaves.. Although, lol technically, in my case since she just sprouted the 9 leaf at 4 inches I guess that's still the top.. But it will very soon be the bottom..

How about age, do you think age has anything to do with it?
