I should mention that a few nights back I dropped the light time again, now 11/13. That will be the last time.

Genetics only give you a good start. That is just a well grown and well cared for specimen. I can't
say enough how pretty that plant is.

An 8 wk update,,, actually day 57. Still needing water every other day. Cut out adding Kool-Bloom a few watering back. Notice the pheno on the left, it's done. About the same amber as clear, but during the last light on cycle, this one gave up on holding herself up anymore.

I'm thinking the pheno on the right will take another wk to finish.

Still day 57 and I'm chopping pheno #3. This one doesn't have as many red/brown hairs. The calyx are larger, the scent is more fruity and pronounce, and it's more frosty. There is more leaf and is more of a pain to trim. I'm really astounded at the variance in a 5 pack of seeds, makes me wonder what would show up in 20 or 100 seeds. The yield hasn't been impressive, but the couple of sample hits say this is some special smoke.
Photos same as the 1st, prior to chop, after the fans are gone, and hanging.

All 3 phenos definitely look unique and impressive. I really like the
look of this one you just harvested but I think the 3rd and final one
might look the best. So frosty.

Right now I'm having a hard time picking seeds for the grow after next. (need to pop now)

The obvious answer is use some freebie fems from world of Seeds. I have some original Amnesia and Afghan Kush. This would be easy, but I have some Malawi Gold which I'd really like to grow, being I'm a sativa head, and this is one of the Holy Grail pure landrace sativa's. It's biggest problem is the 17 to 18wk flower period. I could try to grow out a couple and have 2 different strains going at the same time and get in a couple other cycles.

If you have no obstacles in your way to flower a plant that long, then I would
definitely go with the Malawi. Is the Malawi reg seeds? You could run the Malawi,
sex them and if any males cull and still have time to flower one of the others lol.

Yes they are reg seeds. The only real problem would be I won't have a 4 month stockpile of meds when it would be time to flip the Malawi. I'd really like to pop the whole dozen seeds at once. There are only 2 pheno types a woody and a fruity. Want to make sure I get at least one of each of them. And I would think that growing a strain like this would be a one and done growing indoors. I mean I don't think it would be possible to take clones before the flip and then veg them for 4 1/2 months, before getting them under the flower light. Needless to say it would be impossible with my set-up. Every grow of this strain I've seen is outdoors in either a tropical or near tropical location. (No freeze warnings in Dec or Jan). I will grow this indoors later this yr, but I went ahead with the easy route sprouting the fem seeds Hopefully this will create the stockpile I need to grow the Malawi.

I know that if all else fails I can just drive into my rural town and purchase what the wife and I need over the counter. I just prefer what I grow myself.

Yes an adequate amount of smoke is a must when flowering a plant for
that amount of time. Is the Afghan Kush the World of Seeds version https://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/world-of-seeds-landraces-afghan-kush/prod_2776.html ?

Or https://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/world-of-seeds-legend-collection-afghan-kush-special/prod_2784.html ?

I grew the AK Special out once and had alot of problems with ph and leaf twisting that
I didn't identify till too late. She looked great but had a wispy, mutated bud structure and
very little buzz.

I have heard good things about the landrace AK though, and the Afghan Kush Auto is
supposed to be one of the best.

Every other strain I have grown from WoS has been great. I've grown 4 others, with
Mazar x Great White Shark and NL x Skunk being 2 of my favorites.

I have a Pakistan Valley freebie from them I want to try also.

They are the "Special" hope they turn out on the positive special side, not the short bus special side. They were freebies, and I'm kind of stocked to jump into flower without having to deal with pollen for a round, well it'll be the 2nd run in a row.

It has been well over a year since I grew the AKS, and probably a year before
that when I got the freebie. I don't think it was just the plant anyway, as mine had problems
I caused. I hope yours turns out better because I was looking forward to that strain in particular.

Now the chop to finish round one with the 9lb. It's hard for me to believe that in a set of 5 seeds there would be almost 3wks difference in flower time. I took her down on day 66, could have went a few more days but it fit my schedule better.

Edit: It's now a day later, the cookie I ate yesterday kicked in, and it wasn't the sleepy time dose I was looking for. This one has the largest yield of the different pheno's. But still not an over the top yield. This girl was the easiest to trim, and was still very sticky. Photos the same pre-chop, fans removed, and hanging.
