run a new 240v circuit from the panel to your 240v connections.
imo the 240 light is going to pull less amps so little more $ up front but better on utility bill.

Damn I would like to do that but I'm renting this place and it's a tight squeeze already as you can see with a 5x5
Also I've been running it on a 120 plug with the same male outlet going into the light and it has been firing fine and hasn't caught one fire yet haha.. is there anything wrong with running it on the 120 plug even though box says 240.. I know it's obvious but my question is can it be done safely thanks man

It does show it is a 240v only fixture.... But it would have already burnt up that ballast if it didn't accept 120 as well.

I've smoked a couple metal halide pole lights before hooking them up to wrong voltage when i was a newb.
SOON as you turn it on it looks like the damn thing caught on fire there is so much smoke. Yeah your good bud.

Hi mate im looking at building a DIY strip light for my plants and i was wondering how come nobody uses metal stud work to make the frames? Is It a heat question? I would of thought once you lay down your thermal tape the led strips would be good... Apreciate any info cheers
