Here's the U scrog need to utilize my space with less light/heat my mini split is coming in monday going to use seal up gaps in between wood/plywood any recommendations? Was thinking caulk or foam gap spray whatever is cheaper ?
I used foam...... did not seal, aparently there are enough pores in the foam to allow some air flow. I finally switched and went with the outdoor/indoor weather caulking. Made a way better seal (took FOREVER to scape the foam off). So much so that my door slams shut and its extremely hard to open when my carbon exhaust fan is on.

2 inch wide strips of wood might be cheaper if they are wide gaps & can be re-used again

thanx for the input guys, any suggestions I appreciate hard planning a room especially my first semi big room (for me atleast) any way I bought the can gap fill foam spray curing right now have to buy a couple more for ceiling and the outside I want it Air tight!!! theres nothing that will be exhausting air due to mini split and bare bulb . I want a true sealed room . will post pics tonight , I'm using the Ir blocker bubble wrap film for walls I would've like something thicker but this room is breaking me and I cant invest much more right now

Be careful rolling out the soft copper, it kinks really easy. First mini split I did kinked it real bad. Take your time they are expensive, youll be very happy with a mini split. If you know a hvac guy get him. Ive had a few leak, not when my ac guy answers his phone!

@BuzzD2Kill i do know an hvac guy I actually asked if he could connect it to a dedicated breaker he said he would . Would he have to go in my room he doesn't know im growing or can he do everything from outside ?

If you have the wall piece mounted, with pipes outside, you might get away with it. But honestly yes they should get inside to make sure its connected/mounted right. If everything is through the wall and outside, inside unit mounted secured etc maybe. First two I connected didnt last more then a year or two. GL its not hard but experience counts.

Man my hvAc guy is charging me 200-300 to just connect my condenser !? I guess it's a fair deal ? Well I'm going I just want him to get that out the way so I can have this room fully operational ! Setting up my irrigation and insulation on roof this Saturday :) I've came along way from my original thoughts ️haha.

Thought I'd update my experience with building this room for a very hot summer of indoor growing ! I ran 12/2 romex throught the attic into a junction box through romex connectors , then used wire nuts to conect it to thhn wire for outdoor use through EMT (electrical magnetic pipe)(for those who don't know) going out attic vent holes down in to breaker . Then but in a 20amp single pole breaker ;) i even learned how to offset/bend pipe haha first install and diy electrical stuff went good after 10 hrs work lol !!! And about of month homework

Here's a update so I'm only running 2 lights so decided to do a stadium vertical grow still need to put up screen again .. I insulated the walls and last night I sealed it up with panda film . I also have my co2 running as well now . Lost half my crop to root aphids so sterilized everything . Three away the plants and started new with some teens I had at another room .

Ive paid 400, that part is very important. Also having a hvac tech install and connect keeps your warranty in line.

What's up guys got a electrical question do now my thing is I want to run 4 1000s but I don't have the juice capacity so thinking of getting a 4 light controller ... My Q is the controller gets connected with 2 110 and a ground no neutral.. Is that safe ? I'd feel safer with a 10/3 on 30amp instead of a 10/2 wire.. Lmk please

Well this grow is for 4 people and only going to be a 12 plant scrog . Not my first go round nor a big profit project .. But yeah idk what to do then the room is built with 4x4 studs as frame, plywood for wall and 2inch insulation and I insulated all the cracks in between .... Also lights are not going to be air cooled ...?? Any suggestions on wich a/c will keep the room cool with the lights and everything also the temp will be more like 77-80 (going to use c02)
This going to be very hard to do it, you need to cool the lamps also have to cold the hot air the ac trough from the back, if you said you have a tent you beter get air from the outside the tent, mean from inside the garage and have to blow it not to inside de garage again, because you are not cooling it, have to be blow out somewhere... and the ac can be instaled inside of any place as soon as you make a box and fix it in the back of the ac with a exaust fan and a hose blowing outside too, also the ac get air by the side to cold the compresor, that air is the one is hot when pass trough the compresor cooling system that have nothing to do with the air that is cool by the front.... so if you blow the air that is hot making a box at the back of the ac, at the same time you are blowing away air from inside of the garage too.

@JJARTS please read thread before posting and please post regarding the question . Thanx for trying to help tho .

Ps you would've seen that I already built my room and I installed plus did all the wiring for a mini split a/c ductless no air exchange need . Plus my room is sealed no need to vent out light

Again .. Any1 know how to work the 4 or 8 light controllers why is there only 2 hots and a ground no neutral ?? I'd feel safer with a N

Here this guy uses a 12/3 (with neutral ) but other vids and Amazon answers for product says they used at 10/2 or 12/2

He won't need to exhaust externally if he has a/c and CO2. Should help with the stealth.

I wouldn't use a portable or a window unit. They aren't nearly as efficient as a minisplit. Minisplits are what most growers are using in sealed rooms. Plan on 4000btu for the lights only and 6000 btu for lights, CO2 and any other equipment that puts heat off.
All depends where you are, sealed with 6 or more 1000 w, and CO2, even cooling the lamps I have to use a 5 tons central AC, an small one will be froze the fan inside, also depends how many plants you need to control the humidity... i got more than 20 gallons of 0.0 ppm water just from AC and dehumidifier.

Bro I'm passed all that . I have everything pretty much dialed in . The Only thing I'm dealing with is getting more power using multiple lights .. I know you tryna help but im asking a electrical question now ...
