A few basic questions

Hey,
This is my second time to grow. First time to take it seriously. Im growing in a 4x4 room thats sealed off from the rest of my place. There are 27 plants, started from seeds, that have been growing for roughly two weeks now on a 16-8 schedule. My goal is to try to keep my plants as short and manageable as possible. Im not to worried about maxing out my yield. Ill be happy with a small amount from a large number of plants. I was wondering if i could introduce a 12/12 light schedule this early and not stress the plants out to much. Ive hear it is good to also give them a full 24 hours dark before starting the 12/12 schedule as well. I really just wanna know if it is to early to start flowering? There are 3 nods, and 5 tipped leafs right now. Im growing them in solo cups right now until i separate male from females, and transplant them into slightly bigger pots. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You can flip them at any time to 12/12, lots of growers do this directly from seed with no veg time.

But the plant still has to mature before it will flower so it may seem to take longer than what you might think is normal, if that helps?
