A few pre-harvest questions

I was wondering if I should water the day before I give her darkness? Also when curing bud in mason jars could I put a bit of rice in maybe a stocking or something like that to contain them and suspend it in the jar to help in the curing? I know rice is used to keep moisture out of salt shakers? Same principle right?

Rice or any grain is susceptible to fungus or mold so if the conditions were wrong, you may run into some problems. Schedule the watering to where it's pretty dry when you cut, the plant will dry faster; marginally, but faster.

hmm i might that try that just basic white rice huh

I also have another question, could you use the freshly cut trimmings to make cannabutter? Would you have to cure it first or would that not matter since the thc would be getting transferred into the butter?
