A Gram Per Watt? How?

To be accurate it would be rated a gram per watt per a time frame. So 1gpw usually equates to 1/2 gram per watt per month of flower. Because i can run a 12 week strain and its not a fair comparision to one who runs an 8 week strain.

Only way ive ever pulled 2 a light in 8 weeks is in flood n drain, 64 plants per light lollipopped so only single colas. Mostly 15g per plant, some 20-25 few 10g too.

I also pull about 24 oz a plant when doing one plant per light in garbage cans....

Trick is to over veg a lil, keep them healthy and use your whole foot print and with a little luck, the right strain and some drastic technique you can do it too

Look at heath robinson. Hes gotten 5 per light, or so he claims...

What concerns me is not grams per watt but maximum yield i can pull from a 3x3 area. Ive done the led, hps, cfl, mh. The best performance came from mh/hps hands down. The cfl came in second while the led came in dead last. Im sure other people will get different results but i am speaking from my experience which is limited to my own strains, types of lights, grow room, nutes, medium, basically the way i like to grow. I probably could have changed one thing and had a different outcome but im sticking to my own experiment and what works for me.
How far away was your led from canopy?

Had a mars reflector 144x5, I didnt go by inches i basically watched how the plants responded, if i noticed bleaching or other issues i either raised or lowered it a few and worked my way to the sweet spot. I did three grows and all of them turned out pretty good

First off...ditch the air cooled hoods and glass. Better yet....ditch mogul socket fixtures all together if you can but its not necessary. At least use multiple sixers or thousand watters. New bulbs ecery 2 or 3 crops religiously with moguls. Try and use DE HPS if you got the height clearance (dont even if you have 7 ft or less) or build a quality high efficient COB or use a bunch of 315 watt cmh lamps. Next build a proper growroom. This is where it gets expensive folks. I mean a REAL room. Insulated. Properly wired. Wall mount fans. Proper sized mini split air conditioner...commercial grade dehumidifier. Co2 tank or burner with a ppm monitor/sensor/controller. Monitor and ability to precisely control the climate is number one. Plants love consistency. Seal up every crack in the room. Put thermometer/hygrometers all over the room in different spots. Use one big yielding but high quality easy to grow strain and learn all its likes and dislikes. Top it for multiple tops...tie down and net trellis it once or twice for multiple but even bud sites. Think flat and super even canopy with budsites within an inch or two of the next set. A trellis is your friend here. No holes or just fan leaves where a node set/future bud should go. Feed a solid base nutrient (fuck the additives) according to her needs and the medium your using (all nutes and all mediums work - period). Watch your pH. Run drain to waste drip systems for its consistency and you dont slit your wrists chasing nute and ph problems. Its the go to method and the pros drip to waste for a reason. Keep an ultra clean setup. I mean really clean too. Implement some form of integrated pest management. Run at least 6 to 12 months of that one strain. After the third or fourth run of dialing it in and the room...and your serious about this "hobby" and your not some dumb stoner kid who thinks he knows it all with a 95 degree tent and one lamp with an old bulb growing spider mites....you will get a gram or more per watt of flowering light. I can almost guarantee it.
