Hi all i was wondering if someone could give me a little advise as to whats going on with my 4 little ones in veg.

IMAG0746.jpgIMAG0745.jpgIMAG0747.jpgIMAG0748.jpg

There a 3 cheery berry and 1 Tangarine dream all from seed.
They were under 60w cfl's for around 40 days in this time they have been re potted 3 times upto around 7 ltr pots the mix in the first 2 pots were just organic compost,a little coco and some perlite.
When i transfered them all to the 7ltr pots i added a little
blood meal
fish & bone meal
epsum salt
clarified seaweed
ewc
lime
this wasn't cooked straight from the box
Tested the soil ph at 6 with a soil test kit
and these quantities were very small. Since then they have been under a 600w hps for the last 2 weeks and been feed liquid kelp and a little mollasses in tap water that has been left to stand for over 48hrs.
I also feed them a rabbit manure tea twice to give them extra nitrogen this was about 2 weeks ago

Then over the past 10 days or so i've noticed that the leaves were the greenest i have even seen which leads me to believe that they maybe some nitrogen toxicity going on + a little burning.

I have a 100ltr batch or super soil cooking which will be 4 weeks old tomorrow so yesterday i planted 1 of the cherry berry plants in my super soil in a 20ltr bucket just to see if this pulled the plant around or not.....?

Before anyone comments i would like to advise that i haven't been over/under feeding
My ph is around 7.5-7.7 but as far as i am aware you dont have to ph in organics......hope thats right
temps are between 26c -30c now i have 2 600's hps in the second one was added yesterday.
Humidity is between 50-60% under 1 light & 41-50 under 2 lights.

Hope i've gave enough info for you all to comment.

cheers all

Some say you dont have to PH your water, but it seems most do. I deff noticed big difference when i started ph'ing to 6.5ish

I think you are overfertilizing man,....super soil means SUPER soil....you water with only water. I use 50% SS and 50% normal soil....super at the bottom...in 5 gallon phat sacks. I only water with plain tap water that's been set out for 48 hours. Gets me through vegg all the way to harvest, with the plants starting to yellow/purple about 10 days before I cut them down...just like they should

And foliar feeding should be done about 2 hours before lights on....not right after lights turn off.....this is a setup for mold/fungus. Your pH is also a bit too high....should not be much higher than 7.0-7.2 in soil

I start off around 6.5 and end up around 7.3 at harvest

if everything is done properly, you don't need worry about PH.... in your case, I bet it's PH.

Cant just randomly give raw nutes to plants either... all kind of wrong going on here. 1.5 gal containers, transplanting 3 times, PH, etc.

Going to have a rough go at it, just being honest.

Check your run off PH, probably your best start.

Geekmike cheers for the reply. May I ask if you was in my situ what would be your next step cos as I said I've planted just on in a 20ltr pot with the 4 week old cooked soil to see if that turns things around bit of. Risk but thought I'd just test 1 first.

Cheers

yeah, that could be too high. check your run off ph. That will tell you a lot.
The problem is my soils pretty free draining so say I put a ltr through the top of the 7 ltr pot in seconds it's out the bottom and if intent that runoff it would probably be very similar the waters ph I put in the top.

Hope that makes sense.

And so it thats the case, your locking out nutrients at 7.7 The change may surprise you though

Why do I here so many times tht you dont have to worry about ph'ing your water....? Confusing as this is my first run at organics.

If I need to lower the ph in organics which is the best way.

I use organic apple cider. works super well, and is still 100% organic and natural. Cheaper then ph down too. Id still check your run off though, just to be sure. Could be dead on, and its something else completely. Thats just the easiest thing to start with.

Seems to me you should spend some more time on these forums and do your homework. Follow subs supersoil guide EXACTLY, no xtra nutes here and there. mix the soil let it sit, then ad water simple as that. PH needs to be 6-7 in soil simple as that. Some people do not PH because their tap water is in that range. If you don't know what your tap water PH is you are just guessing and hoping for the best. Stop feeding them anything, check run-off and fix your PH!
