A Question About Pots And Transplanting.

I'm new to growing, and I was wondering why you must tranplant your plants so many times, instead of just planting them in a giant pot to start. There's probably an answer to the question, but I don't know the answer...so please help.

HEKKO MR. GOON.... : )

There is no need to transplant. As long as you start with a container that is the "right" size and USE PROPER WATERING TECHNIQUE you should never have to transplant.. unless you are keeping a mother for many years.. then transplanting will most likely be needed.

When poor watering techniques are used, plants are not able to use the entire container for root growth. THUS transplanting becomes needed.

NO dumb asses here.. : )

Proper watering technique--

Thoroughly water your plants .. basically flood them.. and then Don't water them again until the top 2-3 inches of your soil are bone dry...

It is basically a flood and dry technique... many many growers just water a little bit every 2-3 days... The plant will grow a larger root system if you THOROUGHLY water every 3-10 days....

Frequency depends on plant size, container size, plant life cycle and temperature... But with just a little bit of observation and your finger you can tell when a plant needs water...

cheers

HOW about PH? do you know about PH?

You will need one of these kits.. very easy to use.. AND it is the cornerstone of successful growing....
