As i said...
I had some problems with heat so got my hps out and put in a 250 cfl...i think im gonna stick to cfl cause my room seems too small for a 600 especially for the summer...
The problem is that no trichomes...she is into flowering for about 20 days...maybe more....they have a lot of pistils...big buds...they seem extra healthy now with the cfl..but they are completely clean from trichomes....
Should i feed more???

You should start seeing them in or at the end of the third week of flower, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. Obviously depends on health/environment and for sure strain/genetics. Some strains just don't produce a ton and if they do much later in flower than 20 days. I'm at Day 26 now but I think GC is kind of a frosty strain to begin with Snapseed.jpg

No choice but wait it out. As long as nanners don't start forming it will show its course soon enough.

hid lights will produce more trichomes and better expressions than dozens of cfl's in my experience.
The cfl's dont photosynth as efficiently as hid, or better yet, the sun. The trichomes respond to available par light.
add more cfl's or change to your 600 for better results.
feed according to the directions on your fertilizer and adjust when plant shows a need.

Cfl bulbs work great for veg though. Cheap as hell too

So far they work for flower too

they make very pretty flowers for sure but they just dont metabolize as if under hid's. I grew and smoked cfl weed for awhile. I thought it was acceptable. I could see the difference in brix readings daily and even though I may not have understood what that meant at the time I saw the differences in numbers, then taste, then effecs. I get it, I get the reason to try but Then I stopped with that and saw the light. I wont ever flower with cfl's again. Once you dont....you wont

Yeah first go. I'll move to cobs after this when I get a house. Otherwise this is my first and last grow for a while. So far going very very well. 336 watts of cfl.

Chem, I hate to say it, but I've had great luck flowering under cfl's, as in my last grow, course I combined my veg lights with the flowering light.

They will come, just have patience my friend, 20 days isn't that much compared to how.long it took me to finish

no doubt about it, I thought the same thing and many others do too but thats all subjective right?
But then after lab results added to our own smoke results, etc....me being pot prick, etc, light penetration, my par meter readings, refractometer brix numbers and the general exp of multiple power sights, multiple lights, and many many watts later, so I switched and oh boy, then I went to the 600's and voila! of course tempted by the 1k....now I have several, some on lightt movers some not, some hps some mh.

I have one cfl in my flower room now..its green and goes on at lights out case I want to go inside.

As for trich production I haven't noticed a huge difference between my T5's and my HID lights but not that I've really studied it, I do know that I got far better yield using HID with the plants being tighter, I also didn't play with the spectrum much, which may have had a greater impact. This is a case of just not time yet I would think, and patience being the key. We all have been here with the nagging question, "Are they big enough, are the crystally enough"? I'm at that point with seed grows everytime about 4 weeks into flower, then it all goes poof and they fill in lol.

look...talking about lights...off course a hps 600 is way more powerfull than a 250 cfl... but i was asking if it would affect the potency except for the yield and how much...
I will try to show you mine later...
