I am still pretty new to the growing scene and am planning out my 4th grow..
this time around I am going to have a parter(new roomate) which is also legal s
which will expand the grow to a total of 24 plants. (12per/legal MI limit).

I want to sell the equipment I have now and start fresh. I want some experts to give me advice on what to get.

I have only done soil but will consider switching over to hydro if that is the better option..

I have a 12x12 room to work with so plenty of room.

I need to cover smell but have no knowledge of carbon filters ect.
I also would like to have 12 veg and 12 flower so considering two tents?

Spending limit:2000-2500.

HELP! I want to invest but want some good advice first.hopefully a list of equipment.

Tents are great, I use em, 3 of them, 2 for flower and 1 for mothre plants. Cooltube, hydro, filters and your set :D 1m2 = 20 plants, clones, 1 to 2 weeks of veg after they rooted and then flower. 600w / m2 if you can, GHE nutrients, mybe LUCAS formula (you can read abouth it here on RIU ), and you got a start. Dont over do it, over think it, more is less here

Hope this helped you a bit, but you can take a look at my tent and youll get the pict

Two tents would cost a lot wouldn't it? Not sure. It might be easier using the whole room and then hiding the veg area somewhere else.

Here is a list that would make you super happy for all of that. You could help a lot of people with this equipment, that amount of room, plants and of course the money for electric.

Vegging...

A couple timers
Two, 4x8 T5's
A house fan, maybe two

Flowering...

A couple timers
8" blower (for lights)
2-3 1,000W HPS with the biggest hoods you can get
30 feet of 8 inch ducting
2 normal house fans

Optional - CO2 tank(s) regulator and monitor.

If you are thinking about hydro I have a list of everything you need for an ebb and grow as well. I assume most of us are capable of buying 5 gallon buckets, locating a 55 gallon barrel and drilling some holes. :)

FYI My good friend put this master list together for me. He's a great culturist and has had his current setup, with slight modifications, for a few years now. I could just scan it.
