Advice on water curing

As we all know, water curing is becoming a popular method. Here is my dilemma. Air drying/curing can take 3+ weeks to complete. (1 week for drying, 2 weeks for curing in mason jars). Afterwards, the plant with smell great, but may be harsh smoke. Water curing however, only takes a week, makes smoother smoke, and increases potentcy because all the shit plant material goes away leaving a more pure tch bud.(yes i know the thc isnt physically increased, please dont lecture me there) My weed is for my own person use, I would never even think about selling it. After reading about both methods i really want to use the water cure method because it is quicker, and makes for stronger weed, but I LOVE THE SMELL AND TASTE OF WEED. Does the smell and taste really go away from water curing? If so, i would rather air dry and have a harshing smoke but be able to taste that beautiful bud. Please, give me some oppinions. Thanks guys.

Also, i will have some purple buds, and i was wondering if the water curing process with remove the purple color. I DONT WANT IT TOO! :(

Well, let's just say you had a beautiful Rose bush, and you snipped one of the flowers, and you loved to smell it, and look at it.

Now let's say you soaked it in water for a week.

...

and yeah, water would wash off the purple.

yeah, if taste and smell are pretty important to ya, just air dry and jar em. Smell and taste are the signatures of our bud.

Water curing doesn't remove all the smell, if it's some especially fruity smelling stuff it will really really diminish it, but you'll still get some of the smell and taste. Why not water cure a small amount and air cure the rest? Then you'll know whether or not you like it.

6 hours after water change it stinks..I wonder if more water changes will speed the process.
Going to stick with 1 time a day but if it works im going to do an ounce in different pots and different water changes to see if we can cut the timing even more

I did the water cure, and I liked it alot. It sure smoked nice.
What I did notice, is that after the 7 days of soaking, I needed to let it hang dry for 2 days, even though, it was dry in one day. This improved the taste dramatically.
Peace
