Advice on water curing

I did the water cure, and I liked it alot. It sure smoked nice.
What I did notice, is that after the 7 days of soaking, I needed to let it hang dry for 2 days, even though, it was dry in one day. This improved the taste dramatically.
Peace
Where doing this vid because of an earlier post you did on the water cure..thanx man,,gonna sit on it till tommorrow and then try it...its a shiska berry strain and smell's fruity right now,

I water cured some of mine and it came out great. I figured I could wait 4 weeks for something smokeable, but not great, or water cure some and leave the rest to cure properly while I have something to smoke in the meantime. I just harvested some yesterday and I already have my stash already water curing while the rest air's it out for awhile.

The bud doesn't look great, doesn't smell great, but when you smoke it, you know it's great. After just 7 days you don't have to smoke ridiculously harsh bud. You can't really beat that. 'Quick Drying' using heat produces so much worse shit that this really is the ticket for quick curing.

Can you upload a picture of some of that water cured bud? I really want to see it before I try it myself.

I'm glad that you liked it, you use this method for one of the same reasons I use it too. I also like the mellower taste too though. My lungs are old.
Peace

I hang mine to dry for 2 days. Its dry actually in one day, but the taste seemed to improve alot by waiting another day.

I want to know your opinion, I know you like the shit cured and dried properly as do I....that's why Ive been sceptical to try this method...I just can't see it tasting as smooth and delicious as some shit that hung to dry for 2 weeks.....:joint: .....let me know how it smokes....:joint:

What would happen if you water cured, let it hang to dry for a week or whatever, and then cured it in a jar? Has that been done? If it's better after an extra day of hang drying, longer may be sweet.

hmmmmmm, I would like to see the results from this...that might be something cool....doing a normal cure but kicking it off with a water cure first........I don't know though...it just screems mold to me......after submerging nugs in water I would think drying them as soon as possible would be critical.....:joint: .....I'd like to see results...I might try it...:joint:

He said to water cure, then let hang dry, then jar cure. I don't see how this would get moldy since they will dry before being jarred.

I too am interested in water curing, and I actually planned on curing half of every plant I harvest in water then the other half air cure.

It'll only take two day's or so to hang dry after the 7 day soak,,would imagine bigger buds might take 3

Yeah, I've never cured it before, working on my first grow this year, but I was just trying to think of a way to combine the two - it seems that I hear that water curing gets it ready quicker but the longer it's in a jar or whatever the better it tastes/smokes. Haha, I really haven't tried any of this (unfortunately - but that'll change).
