If you use calmag you dont need the epsom salt(its also mag)
sorry my friend

that's incorrect

if you want to add calcium you add calmag because its mostly calcium
(2% nitrogen 3.2% calcium and 1.2% magnesium and a bit of iron)
derived from calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate
if you want to add magnesium use Epsom salt aka magnesium sulfate
(9.5% magnesium, 12% sulfur)

so the calmag youd have to add significant calcium and nitrogen to get your magnesium

yes there is magnesium in the calmag but its not enough
if you add more calmag to correct magnesium def youll only add to your issue because your adding more calcium than anything else

calcium and magnesium compete for uptake and adding more calcium might make the magnesium def worse

this is all referring to the caution between potassium: calcium : magnesium and the way they work together in a balance between them

the trick is to get the correct balance.....

I have never once needed to add epsom salts since i started using cal mag, so in my garden at least epsom salt is useless, im sure on paper you are right, but im not writing a book, im growin weed

So this is what i came up with im prob. Gonna try to tie some of them down with ribbon later on today cuz i dont think the net is gonna hold em down20170602_074919.jpg 20170602_074910.jpg 20170602_074904.jpg

Don't use ribbon, use a soft plant tie. I don't know if they sell the soft plant ties at your local big box store, if they don't sell the plant ties they will probably have the plant velcro. Comes in a 100ft roll and is soft and fuzzy on one side so it wont abrade the stem. If you tie down with something hard and have a lot of air movement it can cut into the stem.

that works

you don't need to do it all at one time

as it stretches thru the first week of 12/12 just keep tucking them under the next square of net

id do it for ten days in 12/12 and then stop

yarn works well

sting works but like he said it will eventually cut into the stem

but usually the string can be removed after a couple weeks (before it cuts into the flesh) the plant will stay the way it was bent

but I honestly don't think you need to tie it down ... the net will do the job just fine

just keep tucking the lead cola heads back under when they get tall enough to reach the next square in the net

itll look ugly for a day or so but itll stand up quick

by the time you lift the other 3 plants 6 to 8" youll be looking pretty even
