Why do you need the covers to be removable? If you are afraid of possible clogged sprayer heads you should use filters at the top of the drain, entrance to reservoir and when you pour the water and nutes into the reservoir pour it through a filter.

Have you checked what that seal is made out of? Can it release any toxins into the water? You should look into that as your plants will be taking it in.

The only "safe" way to seal the ends without that constant water dripping is to use "food grade" caulking. When you need to clean the rails out after a grow you can just pull them off then scrape off the old caulking. If this is going to be an outdoor system you should tie down each as the plants get top heavy with wind blowing it will make the rail topple over. The other thing if being set up for outdoors wrap the reservoir with something that will reflect sunlight otherwise you will have a problems with keeping reservoir temps at a stable level.

Ever get them sealed up? Im thinkin about just gluing a square flange onto one end of my rails all the way around. Then one could bolt a simple end cap plate on with a flat gasket.... I want to be able to run a mop down the rails for easy cleanup is the main reason. Also im going to run the misters through the top with tubes & grommets so the whole manifold assembly can be popped out and tested without removing the rails. I'm currently building a 2 rail to fit in a tight space

Yeah so what I did was use silicone caulking so thick it fills up the corners and when pressed and screwed in it almost seems. Still drips ever now and again but I'll be layering it till it doesn't.

I want it removable because I tend to tinker and change things and have new ideas mid grow. Like I changed the Y part to flexi pipe so it makes it easier to move around. Also I don't intend to keep the system where it sits. I use frozen jugs to keep the temps low. I'll put the silver insulation from home depot eventually but I'm just seeing if it works bc I would like to move it inside once I have space.
I've seen your thread. Killer work. I love the condensed and simplisity. How did you build your stand?

So I wonder...

What will a man do when a man has his misters clogged, and roots are long enough to tangle around the plumbing. It dosent seem like a man will be able to remove aforementioned plumbing to clean mentioned misters, so the absence of water will not quench the thirst of a man's ladies. So I wonder....
