AeroGarden Heat (Pro 200)

I just purchased an AeroGarden Pro 200 from the factory at www.aerogrow.com. My original intention was to use this in a relatively small closet. I am apprehensive however about the heat emitting from the grow lights. The AeroGarden uses three "Deluxe Grow Bulbs" that deliver 4680 lumens of lights. Does anyone know how much heat that will put off?

I am now considering building an enclosure for the AeroGarden and lining it with Mylar. I would be putting it in the garage. It will be getting kind of cold out there during the winter, probably between 45 and 55 degrees. Is this to cold of an environment for the plants? Any advice on temperature or optimum location would be appreciated. Thanks.

These are weeds. They wont grow at temps that low. Dont waste your time and money. You should at least spend some time reading the sticky thread on AG's on this site. It will answer all your questions.

The bulbs that come with the Aerogarden will not put off much heat at all, I would say it's comparable to 3 CFLs. Speaking of CFLs, you are going to need to supplement the stock lights on the Aerogarden. Check out my journal!
