Aerogarden Pro 200 + Feminized Blueberry Grow

After a lot of debating, and waiting, I finally decided to give the Aerogarden a try. And yes I have seen the threads flaming the product due to the lighting and lack of space, but I have seen nice yields for the small hobby grower. Heck the lil bastard even hit the cover of high times this month. The basic model did not really have the lighting needed to grow fully matured plants, but the pro 200 is a nice step in the right direction with its upgraded lighting, and the ability to raise the light twice the distance as the original. I obtained the seeds from dutch passion, they are Original Blueberry Feminized. I started the seeds in it last night and I'm already seeing the tap root on all three.

I will be updating pictures as frequently as possible, and would love to hear from others who know of anyone who has tried the Aerogarden. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

i'm waiting on my pro 200 now, and I want to grow. i've been researching and how can you tell if you have a male or female seed? is it safer to just use feminized seeds? do you get smokeable plants from the male plants or only the female plants?

Okay just waiting for my digital camera to charge and then I'll be posting my pics. All three plants have germinated and popped out with their petal leaves visible. The tap root has yet to find its way out of the bottom of the growing medium but each seedling seems to be doing great. No signs of early stretching but since they are only 1/2 inch tall it may be too early to tell lol. If I seem not to be making much sense then sorry I took a few Hydrocodone pills I got from breaking my leg last night at the Mayhem Festival, hopefully the blueberry will help as well : ).

And from the info I have gathered, yes it is a substantial benefit to start from feminized seeds, expecially if you are like me and do not have the time/space to sex my plants later on down the road. Yes you can get smokeable buds from a male plant but it will be much less potent, I have also known of people who use their male plants for hash production if that helps.

errrr sorry about the no pics yet. I'm going to get a cord from the store cant find mine. I have a question/concern though. The seedlings are all starting to form their first leaves but they are seeming very tiny still almost like their growth has stopped. Should they be bigger then 1/2 -1 inch tall now? the first leaves seem 2 be having trouble sprouting as well. Dunno if the delayed growth is normal. pics soon
