Tek, I hope you are still checking this thread. Can you tell me where you got the extra lights for your setup??? I know I can get the bulbs anywhere, but what about the actual fixtures they are in? The hydro shops only have the high pressure (and high dollar) stuff. I can't seem to find the fixtures for everyday CFL's anywhere. I need the reflector, outlet, cord, etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I started 3 of my 5 LR2s on May 9th. Two are great, with big leaves and 6 nodes each so far, with the 3rd lagging behind for some unknown reason. Wish I had pictures but my bro has my camera. Thanks for all the help.

Teknique70 ... earlier you said how the packaging from dope-seeds.com wasnt really discreet. i was thinking of buying some seeds from there and i was just wondering what the package looked like and what was the giveaways (i live with my mum and if she found out :0 lol)

Thank you both. What department at Lowe's? I asked once before and they just looked in the lamp and lighting section, but I couldn't find those. I do prefer the type with clamps. What are they normally used for? They look like a shop light to me.

I agree Tek, you've been a great help. I now look to your threads for all my questions. Also, I found those lights at Lowe's just after your response. Things are looking better already. I can't wait to tell you how it all works out.

Arite Tek, been about 5 weeks since I last posted. Its flower time! I lost a bunch of leaves on he bottom due to over fert-ing and lack of light at the bottom but the 2 plants I have look GREAT. They are about 8 inches tall and I'm gonna switch it to 12/12. Been using the foxfarm products and I can practically watch the little buggers grow in front of my eyes.
Flowering....How many weeks am I looking at and how much more growth on the whole plant?
I am going to pick up 2 side lamps to help the bottom leaves out for this phase. Is that necessary? I'm quite broke...
Def won't be able to afford HPS but how do u think a pair of 40 w flourecents will do on the side?

Thanks bud.

Tek,

I'm at 49 days now. The plants look good, lots of budding sites but they don't seem to have a lot of lateral branches. I'm using two tsps of big bloom to a gallon of distilled water then two tsps of tiger bloom back & forth. The AG is usinng a gallon of feed every five days. I'm a little concerned about what appears to be slow growth. I wound up with five females. Two are pretty stunted & I'm about ready to remove them. I realize I'm pushing the envelope on the capacity of the unit. Upward growth is really slow.
Any advice?

Thanks, O2

You should follow the fox farm feeding schedule....look for it online at their website....

Big bloom is mainly to promote healthy roots and has a very little concentration of nutes.....maybe you need grow big too....or the other solubles.....

Or maybe they are growing it just seems like theyre not to you...

what strain are they again?

Tek,

The strain is AK47. I have the FF feeding schedule but stupidly have not followed it closely. I used FF grow big for the veg stage and switched to FF Big bloom & tiger bloom for the flowering stage. I have never done a reservoir change. My PH is between 5.8 & 6.3. I never changed the res. during my last grow and it was successfull but I only had two females. This time I have five though two are real small. Does it make any difference if I do a res. change at the start of a light stage or at the start of a darkness stage? The blooms are filling out nicely I just have very little lateral growth. I kind of hate to do a res change but maybe that is the issue.

Your comments and advice are always appreciated.

Peace, O2

I never changed my water and had no problems ... I'd let it go .. Use spring water though not distilled water .. Did you add an airstone ?

Just like a fish in a fish tank .. If the tank is small the fish will stay small If the tank is big the fish will grow big .. In other words the plant will grow to its limits with what it has to work with ...
