Aeroponic Beginner Questions

Ok I'm moving into the realm of aeroponics.I have done soil and watched many an ebb and flow system now on to new realms.I have a home made system basically made from looking at prebuilt system which here are a few quick details.I used 4 pvc 8' fence posts with caps on both ends. Each post has 1/2 inch pvc pip inside with 360 aero sprays placed into the 1/2 inch pipe where each 3'' net pot will be placed. Each post has 9 ,3" baskets.A stand is under the posts slightly tilted to the resovoir for return .The res is a 35 galloon gray tupperware storage tub where the return and outflow go from the pump.Thats the basics more or less. Now I have a few questions.I also have an aeroponics clone bucket that starts 36 clones in 2 inch baskets. My question is if I am going to use that bucket to clone it comes with 1 inch rockwool and grodan pebbles.Should I just take my clones as usual gel them insert them into cubes, then net pots then top with the pebbles then let it rip 24 hours on with floro lighting or do I need to also mist them or physically water each basket with a superthrive diluted solution at first til roots start? The water has a heating element in the bucket so I can keep temp up to par.Next In the main aero unit from what I can see and have tried to find I shouldnt need a rockwool mat strip inside like an ebb and flow system for the roots correct since I wil have rockwool in the 3" net pots with pebbles and the misters inside underneath right? That would just be asking to clog the misters in my thereoy. Now I am interested in thoughts should I run the misters 24/7 right away since clones will be root established when moved from clone machine into new pots?I will have an air pump in the res also to help add more o2.I will be running a moving array of 1 1000 watt mh then hps and also 2 400 watt mh hps lights will move them to spread the higher watt around so should be plenty of light.I think I will also add a tank heater to the res to keep water temp up some so its not cool during misting. These are my basic setup and questions. I will be using fox farm Grow Big and Bloom at needed times and possibly some cal mag during bloom if needed. All water is tap run through osmosis system and balanced before and after nutrients.Any good ideas for optimal ppm or ph during veg and flower? Any and all info would be helpful in this first aero expirence..Thanks.Will keep posting as it goes

Good ideas, I've seen several of these type systems. Now for your questions.

The cloning you should do like you said. But you probably don't have to mist them much, as long as the bottom of the cubes are getting sprayed. And the heater in the res, maybe for rooting only, and only up to around 75-80 degrees, because any warmer will cause problems. You'll probably want to run the pump all the time unless you have a cyclestat timer, then you could run for 1 minute out of every 5. No need for an airstone in the res, the misters will aerate.

With plenty of light, plants will grow very quickly in that system, so I would feed them 600-800ppm to start, and increase to 1000-1200ppm during flowering.

Thanks for the advice.Am I right in me not needing to put a rockwool mat in each post.I would think so so I can get to misters.I came up with a new question today too.Im looking for an opionin.Im gonna use Fox farm grow big for veg and was going to use Fox Farm big bloom for flowering but have been talking and told maybe Tiger Bloom is a better way to go for flowering stage.Any thoughts which is better for that stage? Thanks again

The rockwool would just clog up the nutrient flow. The roots will do that on their own soon enough, very quickly.

I've never used Foxfarm, but will say that in that system you will need to have a good handle on pH and TDS control. I would suggest a dual monitor, one where the electrodes stay in the res. And be ready for some rapid growth.
