nope....mr 41 posts thats wrong
Might want to re-think that answer.

I think it depends on the growers preference and aeroponic system they build/use. FilthyFletch (VERY experienced aeorponics grower on this forum) reported that he does in fact leave his misters on 24/7 to prevent clogs from the nute build up.

Here's a link to a post in his thread where he says so: https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/18869-how-build-aero-setup.html#post269180

That whole thread is a GREAT read for those interested in Aeroponics. It's long... but WORTH the read :D

As a P.S. to my post above.... I've also seen some people report running their misters on a schedule of 10 minutes on / 60 minutes off.

That's why I said it's pretty much up to your preference and/or system. :D

oh one more thing buzzsaw rep is way more important than post you will soon find this out in this site you can usually trust someone with more rep but that isn't saying someone with little to no rep will lead you astray either rep is just how often people agree with you, take your advice, and well take the time to tell you how cool you are lol. You can also give bad rep to people if you really don't think what they are saying is neccisary or out of bounds. but remember share the good way more often than the bad only use the bad on the duche bags that really have it coming

I would say go with the filthy setup Florida girl suggested, filthy always has some ingenious setups and they are reasonably priced and a diy person can do them, they are easy, and you can take his larger scale ideas and make them smaller and still get wonderful results

am i correct that aeroponics is allways spraying?24 7?
I set my timer to one minute on and five minutes off. This allow the roots to receive max Oxygen without drying out. It's all about O2!

The water gets pretty hot running the pump 24/7

Pictures don't lie...

You can do either method.

The 24/7 works just fine, however I have used a timer 15 on 15 off during the day and 15 on 45 off at night. As long as the roots don't dryout. I actually think that by timing the bursts they ate slightly more because they were not constantly feed.

indeed stinkbud you speaketh the truth. IF you can, set up your pump outside your resevoir or in a seperate res. so that your pump does not heat your system.

Indeed filthyfletch will tell you to run 24/7 in order to avoid clogging. The 4-5 minutes off time can cause your nutrients to dry in the small holes that make up your spray tubes.

stinkbud, what do you use as a sprayer in your DIY tubes?

There are alternative ways to add oxygen to your system, however as stink says, there can never be 2 much oxy.

I run 24-7 misters with GH nutes =no clog even if they were on/off.

now an answer that works.
Thank you.
i asked someone i know and he said the same thing 1 on and 5 off unless i can get the water cooled
the pump causes head and that will hurt my roots.

he also said if i can keep the water nice and chilly 24-7 is best.
